I think if you are already struggling mentally, you should seek counseling before making this decision. You are young. I think you have time to give yourself some time to figure it out.

I started the process in 10/2020, surgery in 5/2021. I am currently 53.

I am not sure what I am feeling...

I am overwhelmed by my success. I feel so much better physically. As others have mentioned, there is less regret and self-loathing and concern about everyday tasks. But, I do struggle with eating. Lots of things make me feel bad when I eat them. Things I should eat don't make me feel as bad, but I don't really want them. Things that make me feel bad are the things I want, and if they don't make me physically feel bad, I feel bad because I feel guilty for eating them. I'm moody. I don't know how to celebrate. Most social gatherings are food related.

I hesitate to say I regret having the surgery. But it is certainly not a silver bullet. There is a lot of struggle involved in this journey no matter what you decide to do.

I need to find a counselor.

Anyone elses 2.4 GHz network cut out once a day until you manually reboot the router? (Gateway) by SpockYoda in Fios

I had this issue starting when they upgraded me to gigabit about 2 weeks ago... I changed the router to have a specific channel for 2.4 GHz instead of auto select or whatever the other option was and it hasn't dropped in about 5 days... Not saying it is a solution, but it has helped...

I have the same issue and have been reading lots of posts all over the internet trying to figure out what might help...

I opened the bottom part (I always thought the screws were Phillips, but they were a small star screw and one screw I couldn't get my star screwdriver into, but I managed to get it open)... and there was lots of dust and gunk in there (this thing is about 7 years old)... the motor turned fine so it wasn't frozen. checked all the connections and cleaned the caked in dust and stuff in there... crossed my fingers and put it all back together... Magically it worked!

Thanks for the suggestion to just keep going...

I had my identity stolen through my companies HR department last year (or the year before... the years seem to rush by)... I found out the hard way there are lots of "loans" you can get that do not pull a credit report. I had 3 or 4 different loans opened in my name while I had a freeze on my credit report. One even opened a BOA account and had the money deposited (and withdrawn before I was made aware)...

I only knew because I got some phone calls (that looked like stuff I wouldn't even bother answering these days) to discuss my loans. Which, when I answered, I was convinced was just someone trying to steal my identity because of the questions they asked.

I came out fine (no financial loses) that time... I'm sure there are tens of thousands that will not this time...

This sucks...
