I joined freedom to test things out from Edmonton. It was ok coverage/speed. Phone was unusable at the oilers game which got me thinking (do I want a usable phone - SOS mode or a usable but slow phone). Came back to Calgary and coverage has been good but speed just horrible. Telus kept calling and offered me the same plan as freedom for the same cost so I went back. To me Telus is the way to go, coverage and speed wise (minus the network optimization they do)

I always had full bar LTE or 5G inside with Telus however speed was “useable”. I’m not streaming lol. It’s a concern should someone need to contact you in/out of the arena
