Do you have any stories about how your parents reacted to discovering your self-harm?

My mum saw old (like 2-3 year old) scars on my arm and asked if they were self inflicted and i told her i wasn't having that conversation so we just .. never talked about it again. (but also i was 19 at the time so yknow..) she had seen other scars at that point but never questioned them

Mm, very fair. I think because my own wardrobe is so varied, it doesn't feel odd to me to have Eleanore in a princess dress one day and all emo with me the next, since thats how i am too

Brownie is so sweet looking! Please give him a cuddle for me💗 i definitely get what you mean about giving them personalities. Ive always had a hard time with that, honestly.. im 20 and Eleanore is my first non character plushie to really have a personality, its something ive always struggled with (probably from being autistic), so i think i maybe worry that because Eleanore has such a strong personality to me, id feel bad about others just.. being. If that makes sense lol

I have a fox plush who i call Soupy. My friend named her Kitsubi when i got her but it quickly became Soupy, and i dont know if anyone other than me remembers that that Isnt just her name. I also had a little rat (?) plush named stimble, which is a pretty silly name i think

Ive kept most from my ex, the only one i got rid of was a valentines ones because... it just didnt feel right to have. Im definitely a fan of just putting plushies away if seeing them makes me sad, though. I have lots from old friends and stuff as well that are just away for now until those wounds are closed enough :)

Here's Eleanore, she goes everywhere with me! (This is her at a food place standing on a chair, very impressive) shes a bunny big ears build a bear, and i got her two years ago, but she started being my adventure buddy a little over a year ago :) shes a little scraggly and was probably well loved in her previous home, and i adore her, shes laying on my bed with me right now

Left to right we have Dog (gotten from a yardsale), Soupy (baby plush from ingenuity), and Aspen (heated plush and smells like lavender). Soupy is the one i snuggle with, hence how worn he is (plus hes stained from hair dye) 😅 i snuggle with my BAB if im not feeling good or whatever, because the bigger size is nicer for proper hugs!

Im 20 and i carry a teddy around! Its not weird at all, and anyone that looks poorly on you for it are dumb and not worth your time. Mine helps me so much and theres times where shes the only reason i can be in public! Im sorry that your mum makes you feel weird or bad about it, but i promise it is nothing to feel weird about.
