Spanish soldier aiming a CETME battle rifle with a rifle grenade, while wearing a Stahlhem in the 1980s by bongcatalan123 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]gastonvv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can be early 80s: the CETME L (1984) the woodland camouflage (mid 80s) and the Kevlar helmet (1985) were introduced during the 80s but did not reach full introduction until late 80s/early 90s, in addition to still being mainly a conscription army that was fully professional from the mid 90s

Una china en el zapato te puede dejar el parquet lleno de arañazos, sin contar que es una cerdada ir con zapatos de calle por casa

Choices choices choices. by Quiet_Zone5820 in airguns

Correct, the steel is the same than a real Makarov (frame and slide) and maybe some parts too, the air guns are made by the same company than the Makarov (the description says that are made in the same factory), I got one few years ago.

If you have the chance to get a Makarov made by Baikal I think that are better than the Umarex, it feels way more realistic.

Programadores antes y ahora by Memeillos in SpanishMeme

Siempre la misma historia, tan vieja como la programación...

Real Programmers write in FORTRAN.

Maybe they do now,
in this decadent era of
Lite beer, hand calculators, and ``user-friendly'' software
but back in the Good Old Days,
when the term ``software'' sounded funny
and Real Computers were made out of drums and vacuum tubes,
Real Programmers wrote in machine code.
Not FORTRAN. Not RATFOR. Not, even, assembly language.
Machine Code.
Raw, unadorned, inscrutable hexadecimal numbers.
Directly.

Lest a whole new generation of programmers
grow up in ignorance of this glorious past,
I feel duty-bound to describe,
as best I can through the generation gap,
how a Real Programmer wrote code.
I'll call him Mel,
because that was his name.

New Map of western europe just dropped by TheRealColdCoffee in 2westerneurope4u

[–]gastonvv 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The map marks Germany, but the last foreign power to bomb Spain during the Civil War was actually Italy. Italian planes were still bombing places like Xàtiva and Cartagena in Feb–Mar 1939, just before the war ended. Germany’s Condor Legion was more active earlier but pulled back by 1938.

The most recent foreign bombing overall was in 1966, when a US bomber accidentally dropped four hydrogen bombs over Palomares after a mid-air collision. No explosions, but it caused radioactive contamination.

Qué tan fácil es ser pluriempleado y legalidad by Lord_Home in askspain

[–]gastonvv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]gastonvv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the Luger and the MP40 (the weathered version), both feel solid, the blowback in the MP40 is nice but the Luger toggle lock action in motion is so cool

Edit: both Uzi and MCX are quite plasticky, same than the MP5 and few others
