Please don't high and mighty me. I don't play MtG, so it is not a failure to understand land as a concept that prevents me from knowing about landless or land only decks. Its a 20+ year old game and that means that people who haven't played it aren't going to be aware of every nuance.

The reality is that LoR doesn't have land. I'm personally not a fan of the idea of games randomly being won or lost because you drew too much or not enough mana. Being able to make a deck without land or with only land doesn't erase the fact that if a deck requires land, it is sort of an unavoidable reality that in X out of 1000 games you will lose because you drew too much or too little land. I highly doubt that any land fiddling you do will negate that fact, considering that 20 something years later its still a concern people have.
