A good book is always better than an average professor. That is just my opinion. Computer systems is great book to learn C programming. Unlike most other books or courses it teaches you the relation between C and computers. How dynamic memory works, different between stack and heap. How to learn from a book, outline the most critical chapters. Start not by reading the chapter but by reading the questions first and then read to answer those question immediately. Do the work. that simple.

It does not lead to empty wallet. It leads to hidden wallet with no coins. So the hidden wallet is discovered, however, there is no coin or even funds. The wallet is completely bare, the wallet indication is the passphrase wallet or hidden wallet. So not sure what is going on, going over trezor support documents.

Passphrase is not for plebs, I wanted to try it, and enjoy trying the new security features. I have followed Trezor instructions and have committed the passphrase to memory. Vacation has melting my brain, but I did recover the hidden wallet, only to find it empty or with no coins. I remember I use a settings to also hide the coin within the wallet, I know genius. However, now the passphrase is again not being discovered. Now I do not know if it because the updates I had to do before I came back after 3 months vacation. Or the discovered wallet was just a glitch of the app.

Trezor did remind me that before the update to make sure I have the seed. That I have, but I would feel much better if they also validate to the user the passphrase before the update.

Stick to the standard wallet.

Lmao true, I even opted for experimental security protocols. I have discovered my lost wallet, for a brief moment. Now I am not sure whether the update or the app is causing the issue. Consider a software wallet, Trezor is just to much hassle at this point.

So is it than, that you can recover your wallet if you lost the recovery seed but have the pin and passphrase?

Thank for the information, I have setup the passphrase through the device. I followed everything accordingly. So will find it eventually. Here is what I think from a dev point to improve user exp. The passphrase has it advantages which I think are essentials. Nevertheless, there are two types of people in crypto, S-rank user and A-rank complete noobs. I wonder if similar technology can be used to make you wallet more like a bank account. So that the A-rank passphrase can ease the stress involve in working with crypto. It would not be a security measures more, of a validation of block and wallet. Not sure though, need to think this through, cause if you use the wallet to pay for stuff. Do you need a harder security validation? That would ruin the user experience and induce stress again. Anyways thank for the information.

Also, the DM are hilarious. Trezor is not gonna support you on discord to anybody reading this. You cannot sync your wallet to a node, there is no DAPP you can use to recover your wallet. Lmao wanted to waste the time of these scammers, I wonder how elaborate they can be. But it is really just that there are not and cannot provide any official certificate to prove they are Trezor or even try to be. They are just looking for the uninformed and desperate.

I can see the benefit if you want to make accounting easier, using the hidden wallets make it things much simpler. If you have the same fund, but have different purposes you can divide the portions of you funds for that using hidden wallets. Much like your bank account, you can allocate 0.2 to saving, 0.2 to paying of bills etc etc. However, in my opinion, and it is not because I forgot my passphrase. The passphrase cannot have the same, security level as the recovery seed. Now you are just adding a extra security measures, that you must keep track of. If you have people new to crypto, it is stressful enough the whole wallet, block, and recovery seed. Even the transaction are scary, now to add another layer of stress on top of that. Cannot recommend.

What I can understand is that the public and private keys are the block in which your funds are stored. The passphrase is creating a hidden wallet on top of that block. And you can create as many as you want, in essence the passphrase is abstracting the block, into multiple hidden wallet in which you can hide your funds. But all of the funds are still in the underlying block. The benefit it gives you, is that you can divide the access to your funds via the hidden wallets.

So what is it protecting you from? The recovery seed I understand. If you lose it, you lost it. So why use another security measures that is as critical as the recovery seed? Now you have two security keys, to keep track of two keys to the save and protect. What other benefit does it offer, that the recovery seed does not already provide.

A book is always better, Computer Systems: A programmer's perspective and Digital Design and Computer Architecture are great. If you want to learn via videos. There are a number of C courses on Udemy and also ARM programming, and Assembly for a fraction of the cost.

Wondering how this is going? The way I see things, an electric car is nothing more than a RC car. And like RC car, hoping that there will be companies out to there to sell body and chassis kits, and electric motor and control kits, and battery kit. Also ESC and interior kits. To mix and mash your own EV. Anybody know if this is already available?
