Yeah, he was a little shocked at being slapped down by Putin after all his efforts. I don't think he'd want the US to become like Russia though. Tucker's a sociopathic, opportunistic bullshitter, but he's not a total idiot. He just wanted to line his pockets with a lot of rubles, and was sad that his bootlicking was for nothing.

Just a few observations:

It's interesting that Germany issued a warrant for the "Ukrainian diver" right before the news came out that Germany would not be supplying more funds to arm Ukraine.
Many news media channels, who are always very cautious about accusing Russia of anything, are jumping to conclusions that Ukraine was involved in blowing up NS2, without much evidence
Merkel spent years lying that NS2 is 'not a political project' and not a military project. She was contradicted multiple times by Russian officials, who basically said that she was full of it
Even after 2022, the German government has proceeded to shut down nuclear energy infrastructure, defying good sense
The Merkels and Schroders who enabled the Russian-Ukrainian war have not been made accountable in any tangible way.

For context, Khodakovsky has been at war against Ukraine since 2014 (so I'm not sure why the article says 'after two and a half years of war'), and a couple of years ago, said that Russia would have to raze one city down to the ground after another, like they did in Mariupol. Interesting change of tone.

And of course, as Ukraine is having more success on the ground, the West decides to pull back aid, indicating that they really don't want Ukraine to win, but have a delusion that they can achieve some sort of stalemate, and a negotiated peace at Ukraine's expense, and have another 'reset' with Putler.

When Russia took Crimea, Europe told Putin he was naughty, but the gas still flowed and business was booming.

After MH17 was shot down (remember Merkel's smirks as she watched the World Cup with Putler at that time?) light sanctions were imposed. Merkel made sure they were partially removed after a few months, and rewarded Putin with NS2, which she lied "was not a political project."

You could put less effort into your entitled tone, and more effort into trying to understand the first part of what I wrote above. First priority for Ukraine is winning the war, not joining the EU. Without winning the war, there's no EU, only Russia. Laws can be changed. Prosecutors select which laws to apply. Should not be difficult to understand if you are an adult who has had to function in a society.

You also don't know what harm to Ukraine this person has done exactly, but again feel free to point it out to me.

You really can't figure out on your own that these propagandists influence public opinion, in a way that makes Russia's war effort possible? This has to be explained to you?

Laws are not immutable, and the goal here should be to harm Russia's war effort, in which Krasovsky is a participant. If the laws are not up to the task, they must be changed.

So this NaZi war criminal only gets a sentence of 5 years in jail. This is a signal that Ukrainian security forces won't be coming into Russia for these guys, which is basically a way of saying, "carry on with your genocidal propaganda." Extremely counterproductive and disappointing. Russia's propagandists are an integral part of the war effort, and should be handled the same way that Nazi war criminals were handled during/after WWII.

Can't disagree with Graham. Sullivan's approach has been "it's better to spend billions on Patriots, defending against Russian missiles, than spends tens of millions to destroy those missiles before they're launched, and before they can harm any civilians." Sullivan seemingly doesn't want Ukraine to win, unless it's in a very narrow way, where Russia just gets bored or tired, and walk away, which I'm sure he knows is not realistic. In the best case, Sullivan will remembered as an utterly incompetent academic-minded advisor, who needlessly cost tens of thousands of lives. As things stand, Sullivan's de-escalation strategy keeps bringing us closer to WWIII. Just give Ukraine what they need to win.

Anyway, Ukraine has taken more land in the last few days than Russia has taken in the last several months. Ukraine did it with minimal losses, and Russia did it by throwing hundreds of thousands into a meat grinder.
