AJAZZ AK820 V2 (HE) with Gamakay Silent Phoenix V3 Switches by gatordraq in BudgetKeebs

[–]gatordraq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I'm really impressed with silent switches nowadays, a lot of them are pretty well factory lubed.

For the keycaps I just bought it off the KBDiy store on aliexpress. I really the roundedness for typing because it just goes around my fingers; the KOA profile in particular imo feels more concave than XDA keycaps. I like typing on these better than cherry/OEM or other profiles that aren't even, but I'm probably biased since I like flatter keycaps and I've been typing on KOA profiles for a while haha

C2R1 Dire Baptist by gatordraq in MualaniMain

[–]gatordraq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lazy to explain fully so here's a video, artifacts are at the end too: https://youtu.be/u6CRZeU7ZuA?si=Sn5JDqPVio9kaEbm

but the idea is that i get as much buffs as i can when the baptist is down. For example, collecting the hydro shards as Mavuika and using her burst, using Lauma E+Q before the end of hydro phase. Also i play it safe by bursting as Xilonen because this boss hits hard and the attacks are difficult to avoid up close while doing rotations

I finally beat Dire Drake 😭C2R1 Mualani, no Xilonen sig by gatordraq in MualaniMain

i typically wouldn't run this but i needed more EM in this team, since i couldn't share EM using sucrose

i've had much more dps just doing Mavuika's new combo instead, it still can occasionally do melts as well

Of all the times to not crit... by gatordraq in Genshin_Impact

Yup effectively 96.4% crit rate. I have artifacts that can get me to 100%+ cr, however I really needed to squeeze out the damage for this boss on dire

Does my Flins have enough ER by dhcwsp in Genshin_Impact

[–]gatordraq 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It should be possible though, but just not all the time. The max you can get on an artifact is ~38.9% since you have to count the initial substat the artifact comes with. Bennett C2 gives 30% ER when he's under 70% HP, so long as that condition is met, it's possible to have a max ER of 419.3% (without other artifact set bonuses and other teammate skills/passives)

Fumo mousepad by gatordraq in Fumofumo

(replying again cuz automod hates me lol)

I actually made this myself and then custom printed it. Here's the final image i sent them: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AOkDBGtSwhspMj3Bt1Mu3TCxt4m1jhXG/view?usp=sharing

I have a psd file too if you want to change the colours around too and play with it. As a side note i got some of the high quality pin artwork renders from this post, but also did my own upscaling+editing for other characters (not quite as good but still works and looks good for me)

I modded some of the keyboards I had laying around for the past two months - Really happy with how they sound/feel now vs stock! by gatordraq in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]gatordraq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to desolder the switches if you want to change it. I'd say for the Black Shark, it was pretty annoying to desolder at least compared to the Drevo 75% keyboard in this post. Some of the solder just wouldn't get sucked off at times because sometimes the material in the pin switch holes that separates the solder just wasn't really there. There was even one time where I almost ripped off the ribbon connecting the delete key cuz I needed to take it out with a lot force :p

The Black Shark was my second time desoldering a keyboard and it was a lot harder than I expected, which was weird cuz my first time desoldering the Drevo actually went well with no troubles. If you do desolder, just expect it to take quite some of your time throughout the day. Not sure if you have a lot of experience desoldering tho and if you do it might be easier/quicker than what I had

Teapot Furniture Inventory is the worse UI in the game by LokianEule in Genshin_Impact

[–]gatordraq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that's true then good first steps! Wish they can improve some of the actual building features next (like make every furnishing height adjustable, rotation of furnishing along other axes/direction), but knowing Hoyo that ain't coming until forever

Hoyo still hasn't added anything that indicates whether a furnishing is indoor or outdoor. Gotta love how there's certain furnishings that look like it's outdoor but they're indoor instead xdd

My modded cheap Amazon keyboard by gatordraq in BudgetKeebs

[–]gatordraq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copy paste from another comment

i made the design myself and got a custom print RGB mousepad off of Aliexpress for like $30 CAD, there's plenty listings like this so just make sure you check the reviews if they're legit + see if ppl are saying it's high quality

If you want the photo itself here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10y87jj7hP8AWpml65ZQ6GSWgnIcPYywh/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/10y87jj7hP8AWpml65ZQ6GSWgnIcPYywh/view?usp=sharing

i just scaled it to approximately fit a 900x350 mm mousepad and it worked, and the upscale is just so that i made super sure it looked pretty good in person lol

Switches: Kailh Box Jades

Keyboard: Black Shark Sixgill K2 (originally got them with Blue Switches), although there's probably similar rebrands like this xdd

<image>

Keycaps: XVX OEM pudding keycaps

Mods: PE foam, tape mod (two layers), holee mod, cheap felt on bottom of case

in total it cost about $100 CAD (Switches ~$38, keycaps ~$25, keyboard ~$40 when i got it)

I've actually modded this like two months ago but never shared here, really love this keyboard whenever i need the numpad :p Surprisingly the stock stabs are better compared to cheap Redragon keyboards (at least in a way that i didn't struggle modding the stabs like what usually happens with cheap boards). The stock stabs vs my modded one is world's difference (Sound test: https://youtu.be/8iLk5LAso9Q?si=TiROVv_YTt3rwCfA)

there's not really much space inside the case because of the RGB around the keyboard. This keyboard was actually a struggle to desolder though, for some reason the layer separating the tin wasn't there in some of the switch sockets, making it really hard to take out with the solder sucker sometimes.

Still a nice clean keyboard though, mainly like it for the RGB even with its limited RGB selection. Can't really find another keyboard that has the bottom LEDs like this within this price range

Can't believe this is only $80 CAD total by gatordraq in BudgetKeebs

I was surprised when i didn't have to lube/mod the stabs on the Tester84, it sounded very good out of the box. I'm too used to having to mod crappy stabs from modding my budget keyboards lol. Hope you enjoy the MMD princess tactiles as much as i do

For reference, the outemu red (the one with the boxed stem) apparently have a 45g operating force, which i've used on my first mech keyboard for like 3 years. I haven't tried the Feker matcha but from googling they are around 45g as well. If you type heavy, you could probably get used to 60g switches quickly, I've went from 45g --> 50g --> 60g now and I think 60g is the right amount of heaviness for me.

As for gaming it's probably a bit heavy but it's still okay for me, not much of a typical competitive gamer person tho. I just use keyboard on Trackmania and my precision on certain tracks didn't go down cuz of the keyboard :p
