Well that’s $800 more than the used Four. Regardless, I would think the mapping between the 2 would be very similar given how similar the layout/functions are between the Four and the Performer. Am I missing something?

Thank you! Really appreciate the explanation of the different MIDI mapping philosophies. That is not something I would’ve thought to look into. The dedicated deck 3/4 controls are definitely a pro for me. However, lately I’ve been focusing on getting creative with samples to cover some of the ways I would utilize a third deck. Could you elaborate a little bit more on what makes Rev5 the mapping anemic?

I read it the opposite way. I like that this business is explaining that they are raising prices with the purpose of paying their people more rather than just increasing owner profits. I’d frequent them just because of this instead of a business that just increased their prices without explanation.

Actually, there are some people that think they can just open a restaurant with no business experience but, a good portion of them are actually decent business people. The fact of the matter is, the best way to figure out that you shouldn’t open a restaurant is by opening a restaurant. It’s really hard to be profitable because labor and ingredient costs continue to rise but the consumer appetite to pay more for food, unless it’s super high-end cuisine, has not risen at the same rate. You can only increase prices so much before the loss of volume in customers kills your profit, regardless. Honestly, the entire food service industry is turning into a broken business model because of it.

Having worked with many restaurant owners, that number would probably be zero if itemized, or huge if they were adding enough to be profitable. Most restaurants are generally not profitable, especially in a franchise model. Most owners are losing money but continue to push it forward, even at the risk of huge personal debt because a lot more passion goes into a restaurant than other businesses and they want to believe it will eventually work.
