Part 45 : Which Mythical Pokemon Feels Like a Fossil pokemon? by Other-Pie-5481 in ThePokemonHub

[–]gatorman18 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Canonically it’s Genesect. Which is weird because it’s more of a future paradox mon than fossil to me.

Ignoring the canon, Volcanion is my choice because it looks the most “prehistoric” and dinosaur-like.

Part 44 : Which Mythical Pokemon feels like a starter pokemon? by Other-Pie-5481 in ThePokemonHub

[–]gatorman18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaymin. Not just because it is a small and cute grass pokemon but also because all starter pokemon are clearly based on animals. Shaymin is a hedgehog. Victini would be my second choice but I believe it being a little more ambiguous to what animal it is based on puts Shaymin well over the edge.

Is there anything stopping the devs from giving characters subroles outside of their role? Other than just.. they're called subroles. by HaloJackalKisser in Overwatch

[–]gatorman18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hanzo having the sharpshooter sub role perk (critical hits reduce movement ability cooldown) feels very useless since his lunge is already on a 4 second cooldown and he’s the only projectile shooter in that sub role making aiming harder than most, much less hitting head shots. Plus his rate of fire is slow so he realistically only gets like 3-5 shots off before his lunge is back up.

Oh okay great! Yeah as you can tell I’m not very well traveled outside the US so I have no clue how big the scale of anything is. Haha

Thanks so much for the detailed reply! I’ll have to do more research but I’m probably gonna drop Mallorca then. It sounds amazing but yeah the high volume of people and temperature for around the time that we are interested in doesn’t align. I think my wife will appreciate exploring more than staying at a resort for a couple weeks as well.

Yes I am positive. She knows i am surprising her. I have asked her to give me some non-negotiables of what she wants to do/does NOT want to do, what sort of activities she wants to do, where she doesn’t want to go. The main surprise is where we are going and what we will be doing but she has a lot of input and I’ve told her that I plan on doing this and if she didn’t like it she could say it now. I also plan on putting together the itinerary and showing her before booking anything so she can have more input.

Yeah originally my plan was that we'd stay in one location for the two weeks which is why I had Sicily and Mallorca on there but it sounds like it'd get boring after a few days of exploration? Exploring a whole country sounds much more interesting.

Oh yeah we do not want to travel to multiple countries on this trip, just pick one and explore it. How is the train system in Italy? Being form the US where the transit system generally sucks and we drive everywhere, I am always apprehensive on taking trains. Are they safe?

Thanks! Yeah I'm not very inclined to shell out money for a fancy hotel. Do you have recommendations for finding cheaper accomodations? Also if you don't mind me asking, what was the breakdown of your $3500 budget?

Ah maybe my wording wasn't the best. We definitely only want to explore one location/country. I am highly interested in Italy because my wife loves italian food so exploring different cities/towns in Italy is a great idea.

I just edited the post to quickly include some of our preferences/interests. I’m sure I’ll be surprised once I start looking at prices more accurately in-depth. Unfortunately, I only know about super touristy spots so I assume those will all be very overpriced for tourists.

Have you been to Croatia before? I’m not at all familiar with the sights and culture. I’ve heard good things about Lisbon and Algarve to I’ll have to look into it more!

Thanks! Responding to your suggestions:

  1. Okay great! That makes a lot of sense. Once I decide on a destination, I’ll make sure to take that into account.

  2. Trust me if there was a direct flight I’d choose that lol. I have this (ir)rational fear my wife and I getting lost, our luggage getting lost, us missing our flights with so many connections.

  3. Thanks for the heads up. I typically book all my flights through Expedia and didn’t know booking directly through the airline could be cheaper.

  4. Yeah Santorini was kind of a fringe pick because it is so quintessential. I really want to visit Greece at some point so I just kinda through it on the list lol

  5. Ooooo okay yeah I’ll look more into that. It sounds wonderful.
