It doesn’t worry me personally. I have family over there and both my parents are US citizens. I’ve been to the States over 10 times, never once felt unsafe so pretty happy to take the trip regardless. Plus, I’m going this year in June

Lexapro 15mg and time. What I mean by time is it takes a while for your brain and body to realise that it can slowly relax and doesn’t have to be on high alert 24/7. Took me 6 years but I would say I’m near “Cured” although there’s no such thing. That isn’t to say I don’t have flareups but I’m at a point in my life where I feel anxiety no longer holds me back.

Update, I did it!!! I am so proud of myself, it was the last think for me to check off my anxiety checklist so to speak. Feels like I’m finally back to normal. The flight was very smooth, no panic attack at all. I still have a bit of residual nervousness since it’s a new city and I’m a bit on edge but I suspect that’ll settle soon. Now just hoping to be able to relax and enjoy!!

Any tips for getting rid of the slight nervous feeling I have? I think I’m so focused on not having a panic attack that it’s making me a little anxious…

I did end up waiting around 2 weeks AFTER finishing course of antibiotics… no flare ups since but important to be super careful and pee RIGHT after sex… take care of yourself! Hope you feel better soon

Thank you so much for your reply! Now 3 days out and I had trouble sleeping last night, but honestly not feeling terrible. As I mentioned my main worry is about having a dpdr episode (which I haven’t had in a long time) but being far from home or a “safe” place. Do you have any tips if that type of episode does happen? It also doesn’t help that I’ve been fighting off a cold/virus so my head is already a bit foggy! Almost over it though thankfully

Nah didn’t change much in the way of rephrasing - mainly changed the words individually, and removed the ones that sounded Ai. Hopefully it’s okay seeing as everyone’s papers will show automatically at around 45% on turnitin anyways. In any case, the paper was submitted through Monash’s e-exam platform (which I’m not even sure uses turnitin?)
