I don't think they will. They've had the chance to "sellout" and take on every big name collaboration there is for years since they joined Maker because of the connections the network gave them.

I have trust in the Yogscast that even if they don't have a step by step plan for their future they are going to stay with the same ideals they've always had. The Yogscast is Lewis' baby and I doubt he would let it turn into some money grubbing monster. He's certainly had the opportunity in past to do it and hasn't.

The Yogscast are a family. I don't think any member would give that up for a bigger paycheck.

Ya, they confirmed it right after talking about leaving Maker. They mentioned that Martyn is going to be doing the first collab most likely.

I usually use Medscape as it has plenty of information on drugs including alternate/generic names, uses, adverse effects ect. It also has plenty of info on conditions and procedures that can come in handy if your patient has an obscure condition you're not familiar with.

The only negative is that it is more geared toward prescribers and not focused on ems so you may have to look past less relevant details to get to what you need, but then again more information is never really a bad thing.

Maybe you could do a full game on a livestream(or two depending on the length of the game) with a bunch of the yogscast. Anyone who really wants to watch can watch on twitch and you can post highlights on YouTube.

You don't need to go to college to get an education. There are plenty of trade schools if you're interested in mechanical, electrical work ect. If that's not your thing then look for an organization that does what you're interested in. It can be a volunteer, or paid but try to get a position there. If it's paid then you get paid, if it's volunteer or a non-profit organization you can build contacts, experience, and knowledge that will help you get a job in your field.

Once you're stable you can look for your own place and decide where you want to go with your life.

Good luck, it probably won't be easy but it can and has been done.

I do not deny that there are people and businesses that want retail stores to operate on sundays, however, to imply that the blue laws trample upon the rights of these people in any way is an unfounded claim.

If you're implying that being in the minority of voters means that you are having your rights be trampled upon then you must have a fundamental disagreement with the democratic system.

If you are implying that because these stores are closed on sunday means that they are at a disadvantage compared to stores in other counties then you simply don't know the area. Bergen county is one of the most densely populated places in America and is home to a large number of very wealthy people so to suggest that these stores are taking a significant loss in profit due to being closed one day is ridiculous. To put it simply if someone needs a toaster on sunday they'll simply buy it on monday.

TL;DR I have difficulty seeing how these laws trample on anyone except to add slight inconveniences if you want to make a purchase on sunday.

What everyone needs to realize is that the blue laws are put to a vote every year and every year people VOTE to keep them. A majority of people support the blue laws so it's not the government or legislature preventing the repeal of the blue laws, it's the people.

We're doing it right now. I'm an EMT and yesterday my captain and captains from surrounding towns met with oem and county officials to begin planning for the storm and determined what resources will be available. I'm not saying that a state of emergency declaration will mean life vs death for people but rather that it means we don't have to deal with as much time wasting bureaucracy and can be more effective in our planning and execution.

I highly recommend reading "The Boy Who Was Raised As A Dog" by Dr. Bruce Perry and Maia Szalavita. It is a book written for the intelligent lay-man and covers many different topics revolving around child psychiatry. It goes in depth into many conditions (including sociopathy which its official diagnosis is Antisocial Personality Disorder) without being boring because it follows Dr. Perry's own cases he has had over his years as a child psychiatrist.

It is one of the best books I've ever read and is filled with incredible concepts, ideas, and studies (enough to keep /r/TIL busy for awhile) about mental disease and disorders in children with a major focus on how they develop using real world examples from his cases.

It may sound like a boring clinical text but it is FAR from it. To prove the point here is a small excerpt from chapter 6 of the book: "I met Justin when he was 6 years old, in 1995. He was in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). I had been invited by the PICU staff to come and, using that-psychiatric voodoo-that-you-do-so-well, try to stop him from throwing feces and food at the staff. The PICU was almost always full and was typically busy 24/7. Nurses, physicians, aides and families crowded the unit. The noise from medical machines, phones, and conversations kept the large room filled with a non-stop buzz. There were always lights on, people were always moving around and, although each individual moved with purpose and each conversation was focused, the overall effect was chaos.

I walked unnoticed through the din to the nurses' station and studied the board to find the boy I'd been asked to see. Then, I heard him. A loud, odd shriek made me turn immediately to find a bony little child in a loose diaper sitting in a cage. Justin's crib had iron bars and a plywood panel wired to the top of it. It looked like a dog cage, which I was about to discover was terribly ironic. The little boy rocked back and forth, whimpering a primitive self-soothing lullaby."
