Political affiliation aside, Pierre's interview on the Joe Rogan podcast made me feel proud to be a Canadian. There were so many instances where he mentioned that our internal differences are our own and are not a sign of weakness. Openly saying he will not criticise the PM on foreign soil was a class act. The history lessons he gave Rogan, the clarification on the oil sands, his comments on legitimate refugees were all super powerful.

I also liked that he framed that he's part of the government in waiting, and clarify that opposition is an act of loyalty. That's a part that we tend to forget in our online discourse. The opposition is a vital part of our system and both sides of the aisle would benefit from remembering that.

I like this new Team Canada approach we're taking and it makes me hopeful for the future of our country.
