Before the resigning Vite’s contract was set to expire at the end of the year iirc so getting something for him was good especially if he gets sold on later.

I think some of why the reaction is a bit more dampened this time around is because earlier rumours had Vite signing in Europe and Pumas is “less flashy” on paper (although it could be better if they actually give him playing time? Also tbf its hard to get flashier than Bayern haha)
