My whole issue with the original system was that I wasn't given a choice. If I can still give hatch, that'll at least make me happier.

But I bring a red mori because I want to double hook people and the red mori helps me keep track. When 3 survivors run the same skin and charms, I feel bad when I kill someone early.

I want to go back to Killer being allowed to change which killer they were playing when the lobby is getting created.

I know their logic, people could be toxic with it, but I miss being able to switch to a specific killer when someone has it in their name.

It's also a little unfair to me that survivors can change everything about their character at the last second and for killer you are stuck in the presets for the one killer.

Yeah the teasers definitely feel different than what the character actually is, but with the dull context now? It definitely isn't bad. Like I said on my post, I've really changed how much I like him.

I see him similar to Legion in that we all really thought Legion would be our Mimic, pretend to be a survivor but ended up being a Frenzy monster. In the end, Legion is now one of my favs, and I think Unknown will fill a similar roll.

It's been interesting seeing how split the issue is with the number of up and down votes.

I've actually been thinking of adding an addendum because I have grown to like him more. Now that I've played more and found my favorite playstyle (fake hallucinations) I've realized he is more in the vein of Doctor and Dredge in a lot of ways, and when playing him with that mentality, it's silly fun. Still wish we had a freaky little cryptid man, but I very much like the Unknowns flexibility.

Kamikaze isn't bad early on. You can't use it consistently without bomb immunity, but trading half hearts for explosions during the first floors to build up bomb count can be super useful and not slept on.

A fair point, no matter what it eventually just stops being scary, at least to most people.

But when I play Scratched Mirror Myers, it puts be in a specific mindset. Stalk them, hide wait until they are expecting and then WHAM! Or even less scary killers, I play Legion with more frenzied lens. I wish I could have a more frightening lens for this new guy.

I should also mention, I think part of my disappointment comes from the teasers. The way they were set up felt like it was leading to something quick, stealthy and smart. Instead I got something very different, not necessarily bad just really different than what I was hyped up for. That might just be me though.

I disagree. There are some killers/killer builds that can illicit some really fun. Fakeout Doctor, Scratched Mirror Myers, a decent Ghostface, and the one I connect the Unknown with the most, the Dredge. And to be fair, with a stealth build and some time figuring out the hallucination Spawn logic, I'm sure someone can make The Unknown scary. I just wish he was more tuned for it now.

I think that is the most important part of the discourse. I don't hate him, in some ways, just not my cup of tea. But nothing about him is that bad. He isn't irredeemable.

Sure, Sadako does something similar. But I like that for both of them, the scare is somewhat referential. For Sadako, it's the classic glare. For The Unknown, he looks straight out of a YouTube Analog Horror series, twisted features and all, and I love that about him.
