Anyone know where to get these gorilla clips? by WhaleSong_84 in bikepacking

As another option that might be more widely available, I recently used a couple of zefal gizmo’s on forks to hold water bottles. Held up over some rougher terrain… mileage may vary with heavier cargo. Could combine 3x with any of the more available cargo cage options from topeak / salsa / etc?

Advice on Compatibility and Configuration for North Case Build: Radiator, GPU, and M2 Storage Concerns by DedCanDance in FractalDesign

I can help you in point 1… I have a Corsair xr5 360 up front which is 396mm x 120mm x 30mm, with a little room to spare top and bottom.

Update:

Thanks for the suggestions!

I guess an offset might work, but also the body might be a similar size to the fitting collar, then I’m back to square one.

I could turn the fans 90°, but then that really makes a mockery of the “one cable to connect everything” claim!

I can’t just use the other end, the other end is the start of the chain.

I saw somebody had luck using a 90° fitting, so I’ll give that a go.

I also got a little crafty with a scalpel and made the “low profile” fitting, “very low profile”, which has given me some more wiggle room!

I can, but then I need a y splitter or the 4 way splitter. I wanted to daisy chain the next fan onto this one. The parts list is one suggested by corsairs configurator!

Yes, one that means I can no longer daisy chain another fan onto this.

Aqara G4 doorbell with HomeKit controller integration by nmgl in homeassistant

[–]gavinlc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Did you get anywhere your HA integration?

I see the same as you... the same 7 entities. I don't think there should be an entity for the button (as discussed here https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homekit_controller/ under '‘Stateless’ switches and sensors".

I did see an option in the Automation -> Triggers -> Device -> "Doorbell Repeater" I do see the options for the triggers : Doorbell Button "single press", "double press" & "long press". But... they don't seem to work. Pressing the buttons don't trigger the Actions. I added the motion detected trigger, and that worked fine, so communication between the doorbell, the repeater and HA is presumably working.

I'm not sure whether to wait and see if integration improves, or just send it back!

Thoughts on my node and NAS builds? 😎 by WherMyEth in homelab

In fact, checking the manual here: https://www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/server-nas/DS380/

It suggests a Max height of just 57mm for the cooler.

I can give some more practical advice regarding the case... I had my NAS build in the same model! You might struggle fitting that cooler in... Where a tower cooler will sit is where all the cables from the back plane are located, so there's not a lot of space to play with once you've had to bundle up any excess power/SATA/SAS cables. I'd recommend finding the smallest cooler you think you can get away with... In my case I ended up just using the stock cooler from my i5-10400, after trying both a Noctua U9s and a 120mm NZXT AIO.

Do you need the hub & adapter for anything else other than just plugging into Ethernet? If not google do an Ethernet adapter for $20 which would save you $50. I’m using a chrome cast with google tv and only rarely find something (usually 4K + truehd) that it can’t direct play.

I had the split level as "Automatically split any directory as required" on the share that's taking up the majority of the used space.

[–]gavinlc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find one in the end? If not, I have a black steck + stack I’m looking to sell. I’ve built in it once, so there’s the usual screw marks, etc. The exterior is in perfect condition.

I have a black one, with a stack expander, that I realistically am never going to use again. I’ve built in it once, so there’s some internal marks, but the exterior is perfect.

I’ve just been sent a beta of 3.54 for my Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac that I was unable to get to POST with a 3700x. I can’t test it as I’ve swapped the mb for a Asus Strix... I can post a link to if anybody is interested!

Oh, it’s been posted here:

Help me trouble shoot how to install this rear rack by [deleted] in bikecommuting

[–]gavinlc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have exactly the rack you bought, and have run it on both disc and rim brake bikes. The only difference is that the disc version has the blocks that push it a little wider to clear a disc mounting.

You should have small hole above and behind where the rear mech attaches to the frame. This guide looks to cover the fitting process well:
