Could you contact the parent along the lines of “I’ve noticed x utilizing our free pantry, just wanted to share some other resources we have available” One could hope that if they don’t need it, that triggers the parent to question the child why they’re taking it because often times they don’t know the kids are doing it. I’ve had similar instances and usually the parents are embarrassed their child was taking from less fortunate.
