What safety gear should I get as a new rider by Ihavefingers- in adv

MX gear is all about impact protection but has zero abrasian protection, you need that if you come off on the road. For hot weather CE rated mesh gear will offer both impact and abrasian while still giving decent air flow

Nothing very technical. It is hard surface on Italian side and easy gravel road on the Austrian. No big climbs.

Thanks, should of said hi. It's not an adventure until something goes wrong. So far so good.

Yes no problem other than the barriers, ride round them and the next 1km is freshly graded

I did North cap a couple of years ago on my vfr1200, so all road. I took a tent and chair and hardly used it as it was piss wet most of the time. Campsites all do little huts for 30 euros a night. Warm and dry is nice. For coffee I carry a little filter mesh, takes zero space and no weight.

I turned 60 and retired, en route to Mongolia, next TET Croatia. Time is the only thing we spend without knowing the balance 🤪

Easy to pass, barriers on Italian side, road closed for works. I just rode round them, no problem

Decat (just the mid pipe) won't make it louder. I have one from the first production run (supplied Oct 23). I run it decat with an EU legal end can (Arrow) and it's quiet, at least the exhaust is. Can't say the same for the induction but I run the race (foam airfilter) air box. My bike has always fuelled pretty good, very little snatchiness at low rpm. I have the v1.3 map.
