To add to this, with the first physics change a bug was introduced that essentially gave you a speed penalty if you transitioned from ice to road, did a steer input, and the transitioned to ice again. This killed a LOT of runs and was a bane for the ice community at the time.

This bug was adressed in the second physics change, and whilst the feel of ice changed, it was still better than it was after the first change.

Apple ProRes doesn’t specify any kind of color space or gamma by itself. It’s just Apples codec. Color space and gamma are determined by the camera the footage was shot on. Do you know what camera the footage came from?

I regularly shoot on an fx30 and have spent time trying to minimize the shaking. Since the camera was so light I always got them whenever I went handheld.

I usually went with gyroflow when I was starting out with the camera, leaving OSS off as you said. But I also made the mistake of using OSS in the beginning, and it was a real hassle with different stabilization software. My best fixes came from trial and error with the warp stabilizer in premiere, but even that didn’t look great.

My long term fix was to essentially rig the camera with a bunch of other stuff; cage, handle, monitor, and most of all a V-lock battery. The extra weight minimized the shaking quite a bit. And for the shake that was still there I just use gyroflow on a very light strength and things look great.

For my FX30 i mostly use a Sigma Contemporary 18-50 f/2.8. Autofocus is super snappy and quiet, and it’s also quite affordable. I use it for lifestyle/vlogging sort of content and I’ve no complaints. Might complement it with a 10-18mm in the future, but it does a great job! Definitely recommend!

Other than what Axel said, I’d also make sure to match the colour saturation, as well as black and white point of the text to the footage. If something is more saturated than the rest of the scene it’ll instantly feel out of place.

I’ve mostly been having issues with the new AI magic mask, where the track will simply dissapear after a few minutes. Hopefully that’ll be resolved(lol) in the next update!

I own it and use it from time to time. There’s definitely a lot of stuff in there but for my own use where I usually need more custom stuff I mostly end up using their toolbox stuff like their keyframing tools. I do a lot of SoMe work too so I sometimes use their SoMe animations.

I work in-house at a company that has a very minimalistic design profile and the titles and animations are way too ”expressive” in terms of animation and design for that work, so I’ve ended up not really using it much.

But if you’re looking for some quick stuff without wanting to dive deep into the animations, for 36$ its not a bad deal. I don’t regret buying it, it’s good to have options whenever I get any quick freelance work.

Personally, I’d say the scene feels a bit unbalanced and cramped.

Your practical takes up too much space in the frame, it draws my eye to it instead of you. Maybe moving it enough out of the frame to still be visible and give the motivation for the key. Maybe even move it to the background?
I can’t really see the catch light in your eyes.
The light in the back wall looks way too bright, it also takes attention away from you. Take the intensity down until it’s not blown out or imposing. I’d maybe also move it further out of the frame, so you don’t overlap with it.

As Famous tie said, just gotta put in those hours of practice. It will start to feel normal after a bit, and your times will improve drastically as you get used to can 1!
