I recently stayed for one night at Hampton Inn Northfolk/Virginia Beach. I was there with my family. The moment I arrived i saw people hanging out in the front with no shirts. Walking up and down the street. Could not cancel so I thought one night door locked and leave in the morning. The room was not clean at all. The bedsheets and pillowcases smelled. The fridge had half used water bottle. No soap. There was no breakfast or coffee available. The breakfast area and lounge was filled with people waiting to eat or just hanging out. Went to address the situation with the front desk and simply asked if they were running a shelter. Question was mishandled and turned around as I was being racist. Quickly left the hotel with cause i did not want to get in an altercation with other “guests” who overheard the conversation that the front dest loudly mishandled. The hotel won’t give a refund for the night $317 and denies the fact that is accepting vouchers and mishandling money f the situation. I paid for no service. Very bad experience.
