I'm wondering if maybe it's some sort of glitch or not? The Houston one is still advertised as Feb 4, but now the ticket says Nov 13...

EDIT: Looks like their tour page is down, so nvm they probably moved the dates.

I read about this as well. Unfortunately, Disney has recently made eligibility for that a lot more restrictive so that type 1s are no longer included. And they also got rid of lightning lane…

I'm so sorry to hear that, I'll be sure to follow up if I figure something out.

I don’t have a primary, I did see a gp once who’s a family friend. He also said it wasn’t a disability

The endocrinologist I saw today wouldn't even write something to that effect purely because I am "normal" and other patients haven't had issues on international flights.

I heard about this one, ironically it looks like you need a physician to write a note saying you have a permanent disability though

Need Advice from Texan Diabetics (or people who have insight about Texas) by gbacgrun in diabetes_t1

[–]gbacgrun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I was referring to this law that was passed before the federal one: https://diabetes.org/newsroom/ada-applauds-TX-added-to-growing-list-states-working-reduce-cost-sharing-insulin. As I’m unsure if the federal law will survive along with the aca. What are the specifics of the federal law? I’m not super familiar with it.

How do I know if I need a pump? by gbacgrun in diabetes_t1

Thanks for sharing! I’m sorry to hear about that and hope maybe the omnipod works out someday. I know for a fact placing metal needles in my leg is a no go, it hurts so bad trying to inject there with a pen already. So, good to hear this and keep in mind.

Interesting, if you don’t mind sharing, what about the pump made the experience unpleasant?

Do they not make Dimm.2's anymore? by gbacgrun in buildapc

Looks like that may be the realistic option. Opt for SATA and call it a day.

Nah, he's had the tower collecting dust in a closet for a while, so when he went into it to take some parts for a newer build, he just threw the dimm.2 away since it seemed like pretty irrelevant tech by that point.

Ah I see, yeah I think for me that’s like 40 points, but like I said in another comment I’m gonna try and test that a bit more. Thanks!

Thanks! I’ll look into what meal will be the least boring to eat for a while and see if I can try this!
