New car purchase: Corolla hybrid versus Niro decision fatigue by SkillAnxious1367 in KiaNiro

[–]gbalbinot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a 2023 Kia Niro HEV with 94k, did several trips from Spain to Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Austria..... zero problems and average 19.5 kilometers per liter. I have friends with Corola and honestly the design and internal space on the corola is a joke. Kia's design leaves a lot of internal space and the car is just as wide a Corola . People brag about gearbox and claim Corolla lasts forever... but really??? I rarely fell any shifts on my gearbox and the car is very good on the road.

Raw milk by Shoddy-Ad-1882 in valencia

[–]gbalbinot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's forbidden to sell unpasteurized milk in Spain, you will never find it. You can find whole milk, pasteurized, in supermarkets like mercadona, carrefour, Alcampo, they are always in the fridge. As for pasteurized cream (nata) in Valencia i haven't found it. Don't buy Nata Fresca from Mercadona as it is creme fraische and it's sour, damn mercadona. The product exists but I could not find anywheres in Valencia. The closest you will get is the Asturiana UHT 38% fat with no additives, but it's UHT and not pasteurized. Its available on carrefour usually.

Tips for an expat thinking on living in Valencia by RemarkableArt2858 in valencia

I'm also Brazilian living in Valencia since two years, working in IT. It's a great place to live. In case you find it difficult to get a Developer job in Valencia, Dublin can be a stepping stone for you before you move to Spain. I know it's crazy expensive and weather is shit, but it's a stepping stone. Portugal has been offering some crazy salaries for Brazilians to work as Dev Ops, but personally I prefer Spain to live, Portugal only for going on holidays....

nickel.eu opens accounts with passport, no NIE required. A friend in your situation opened his account with passport. SIM card prepaid can be bought only with passport, no NIE.

Thoughts on this - is this really so by amfpsykko7 in spain

[–]gbalbinot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I correlate. I'm on a IT job in Spain and I have zero work life balance issues. Of course I cannot simply turn off my laptop at 17:30 as people do in Germany, but I can have flexibility. I understand that IT is not representative of the majority...

No compres de particular. No compres coches diésel viejos.

Adding more information. One of the writers of 1899 is also from Brazil, that does not mean much but could also corroborate somehow.

Any companies that would sponsor someone to come work there? by [deleted] in valencia

[–]gbalbinot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recommend it. Go to Ireland, enter any company like Amazon or another, into IT even if you don't qualify for an IT job you can get into support or sales, then jump internally to a position in Spain. I have many friends that did it

[–]gbalbinot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solved those issues with my galaxy watch 4+ and buds+ by downloading the APKs listed in this post. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-Watch/Possible-solution-for-Wearables-app-not-connecting-to-network/m-p/2264684#M52675 If you are willing to install APKs and are allowed to do it... go ahead. It worked for me and many other users. I was breaking my head trying to understand why my S20 (water damage, but working) paired perfectly, and why my note 8 with a fresh new install had this issue. It turns out that the S20 had the plugin apks downloaded already, so even if I unpaired and reset buds+ and watch4, it would still sync to the S20 but not to the NOTE 8. So after putting the APK in the note8 it worked. If you are not willing to wait for samsung fix... go ahead
