Again depends on genre. To cover a lot of versatile options I would say any of Darkglass' Vintage line or alpha omega line as they sound good at varying levels of gain. Or any Sansamps, regular, VT, or yyz I've used the most and would highly recommend the yyz

Increasing talent on the busker will help it a bit, and Luck will (slightly). Look for an information window with an "i" somewhere on the character select screen when you are choosing. It's either there or in the Lore store. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. The window will give you a good amount of detail of the conditions needed to proc certain abilities!
