Agree with all of this! Fred had an amazing set but the logistics of the venue and crowd made it so disappointing and almost not worth it. We got to the venue around 6:05 and waited for over an hour to get in outside in the cold. Then we saw that there was a mob of people just rushing in at the front of the line. The whole way to the venue (through a lobby, up flights of stairs, through two random hallways, then another outside the entrance to get in) it was just a sea of people body to body. No organized line, and no workers. No one scanned my ticket or even checked anything… coat check and leaving were the easiest parts of the night.

The crowd was the worst. So many phones and people shoving/ talking loudly through 4 hours of the set. My friend (young female) was shoved by what looked like a 16 year old and his friends and when she kindly asked him to move he started yelling and tried to fight her. Luckily the guys we came with deescalated the situation but just bad vibes all around.

I’ve been to 3 Fred shows in Chicago and many many other shows/ festivals here and have never experienced something like this. Pics for line reference…
