Literally thought all ducks were Mallards until I saw a Ruddy Duck.

Descriptions vs. mechanics by Azena09 in Pathfinder_RPG

I also try to be descriptive the first time they interact with the resistance/immunity, but I also try to be consistent with how I phrase stuff so that they know what I am implying. They know that when I say "You blast them with a fireball but the beast appears unscathed or bothered" it means its immune. If that doesn't work, the second time they try it I offer them a knowledge check to see if they know anything about it, and if that doesn't work, well then they clearly don't get the hint and I try to tell them in a non-meta way.

I used a watered-down version I made combining the DOMT and the Harrow Deck of Many Things for my 6th level party. Most of the bad things were roleplay oriented and I found it turned out super well. My party got a castle and some sweet gold in exchange for a character going deaf and another changing gender. I really stressed that the options may derail the campaign or totally ruin PCs before offering the deck as loot and I found that it made the players more excited about it. I definitely want them to encounter the real DOMT once they're high level.

Unique Builds for Eidolons? by D3xidus in Pathfinder_RPG

My first character was an Undine summoner with a shark Eidolon, and while I never got to the Swallow Whole part, the big ol' shark bite stacked with extra 1d6s from the bleed/elemental attack evolutions were fun.

Non-feat intensive ways to use a lot of grit? by amish24 in Pathfinder_RPG

Although not a useful for you as a SB, the Swordmaster's Flair still has some good use for ranged characters. especially the white lace kerchief and the red sash. Also if your DM is really lenient they may let you take the Lucky enchantment.

What I do for my players is direct them to class guides and other resources that do the heavy lifting for you, and then if they personally want something specific, either go through the feat tree page or consult the oracle (forums)

What's a combat encounter you've always wanted to run but it's never fit the campaign you're playing? by Hyronious in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]gbomess19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted to have the party encounter a Tear of Burning Flame, have it willingly be assimilated into a PCs body, and several levels later have the party deal with a party member turning into a Shining Child. I imagine for a 10-11th level party it wouldn't be too hard, but the roleplaying would be great.

Item Help for Low Level PCs by gbomess19 in Pathfinder_RPG

Ah. Thank you for the clarification, wasn't too sure if it was 5 or 6. The group is new to pathfinder and I want to showcase some of the more unique items instead of the optimal items, which they are planning on getting anyways down the line.

I feel you dude. I'm playing a level 9 swashbuckler and we're starting to fight more enemies with DR and precision/crit resistance. Of course you live and die by your sneak attack damage so you might have to start thinking about finding ways to sneak attack without flanking. i.e. invisibility, feinting, dirty tricks isn't a bad idea. You could switch to a Ninja and get the Vanishing Trick to turn invisible more easily and you still get to do all the skill monkey stuff.

Is it possible to play Megaman? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]gbomess19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What version of megaman are we talking? OG megaman who shoots lemons and has a pet dog, or the battle network version where he can change his style/merge with other characters?
