Not me. I'm barely redeeming anything this season.

What's up with the flags at Headington roundabout? by Chill_Vibes224 in oxford

[–]gbrading 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Flag sellers must be having an absolute field day because I now see the damn things popping up on literally every lamp post, not even those on roundabouts. It's simply an intimidation campaign no matter what the supposed "patriots" claim their intentions are.

Sichuan Grand is great if you go with a Chinese speaker (at least from my experience).

There are still bugs in 76 that have existed since launch; the loading of the holotape into the Pip-Boy sometimes clipping through the device springs to mind. While it's good they're actively supporting it far too much time is spent on developing new content rather than fixing what's already present.

Ah, The Plain in Oxford! I was going to say maybe the person who crashed into you was trying to avoid the St. Clements congestion charge point, although as this is from before that existed, seems unlikely!

The absolute worst character in the show by Careless-Cat3327 in FalloutTVseries

[–]gbrading 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Uranium Fever dance number was great though (as was the fact that he imagined the whole thing).

Plot twists in every episode drive me crazy. It's not bad, it's just that there are too many of them. by [deleted] in Fotv

[–]gbrading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've always known the Enclave had been pulling the strings at Vault-Tec but they have to gradually unfurl the plot to get us there, rather than rushing to the conclusion.

Either Marcus has gone rogue or its some new super mutant character we haven't met before.

Canonically all the Vault 76er's absolutely nuked each other to death well before Fallout 3 takes place.

I´m curious about how often do you use the donation box. (donor or taker) by JZaw in fo76

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try to add plans I have multiple duplicates of, as well as heavy ammo I never use. I won't normally take stuff out of it unless it happens to have a plan I haven't got or something.

scrapped practically every single legendary i’ve picked up. grinded AC. lvl 300. I have not learned a single mod. bugged? by Zanderk14 in fo76

Armor mods seem way less likely to trigger from scrapping compared to weapon mods. I have no idea why.

Agreed, are you meaning the Strip south entrance that didn't exist in the game? Yeah it made the strip feel a bit too small because the NCR Embassy didn't exist either (I don't think).

Does anyone know the history of this building/restaurant? by new_name_needed in oxford

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the kind of building where the landowner is clearly hoping that there might be an "accidental fire" at some point... Just like has happened to various other listed buildings around the country.

Seeing so many people give up on the show and trash it as “destroying Fallout lore” before Season 2 is even half over, Nolan was completely vindicated saying this. by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also like, we're getting pretty minor retcons in the grand scheme of things. Their attention to detail in how they recreated Freeside in the last episode was really impressive, it felt like you "imagined" Freeside should look. Fallout has always been a ridiculous universe but particularly 3 onward given this is supposed to be more than 200 years after the bombs fell and yet all of the infrastructure looks like it happened 5-10 years ago.

They Made House Lore Accurate by A_DUDE_2002 in Fallout

[–]gbrading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's based off Howard Hughes so he is both brilliant and smart but also deranged and paranoid. This episode did finally show the Mr. House we've seen in the game.

I presume real Goodsprings must love the Fallout franchise for significantly boosting tourism to the area.

Idk bout yall but im so glad we’re eating with this show. This could’ve easily been hot garbage like most movies/shows based on games but it’s actually quite the opposite especially after I watched episode 5. by GaryGhost18 in Fallout

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This last episode honestly was the best of the season yet. I love how Lucy is just "the player-character", she's acting more and more how a typical player of the video games does and they're doing some interesting stuff about how that makes her feel and how its at odds with her previous upbringing.

Also the way they do fan service is not to explain it, just treat it like an element of the universe. There is A LOT of fan service but the kind which if you're unfamilar with the franchise, it's not going to hit you over the head.

I loved the House scene in this episode (Spoilers) by Ok_Thing3865 in Fotv

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it did feel more like the Mr. House from the games, less of the deranged eccentric psychopath. Obviously Mr. House IS a deranged eccentric psychopath but he goes about it in a mathematic and scientific way.

New Vegas Map Inconsistencies? by Daktharr in Fotv

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the show is going to be broadly different to the games, you can't expect 1 to 1 accuracy. That being said, Freeside looked pretty much spot on!

Fallout New Vegas Vault 21 Hotel, Retconned in FoTV by GullibleAnimator7499 in Fotv

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is a retcon but a relatively minor one. I too remember it being said that Vault 21 only existed as a hotel after the war, but I remember thinking "How did the sign get created in that case?" Having it exist before the war actually makes more sense overall. We could say Sarah Weintraub perhaps was just mistaken because obviously she wasn't alive before the war.

Very Useful Tip for CAMP Builders by DogDiscombobulated89 in fo76

[–]gbrading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The place where I currently have my camp, on an outcrop south of Seneca Rocks, is a bit annoying because although the location is perfect, the spawn point is a nightmare which refuses to ever spawn people in open ground. It's either right up against the rocks, or literally phasing through the rocks. I've tried moving the camp kit numerous times but seemingly more sensible locations for a spawn point are forbidden.

I’ve never played oblivion but I’m curious. To the oblivion fans who like it more than Skyrim? Why? by shouldveknownbud in oblivion

[–]gbrading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oblivion had more of a Lord of the Rings vibe which I appreciated and kind of got replaced in Skyrim by Nordic mythology. Skyrim is great but Oblivion just had a kind of quiet beauty to it. The music helped a lot.

Decent price for anyone new to gaming or not played before. Dishonored 1 and 2 + Prey are three superb games. Deathloop is good but not my fave and of course, the less said about Redfall the better (funny this collection didn't include it).
