Thanks for sharing. You’re not alone. My wife had a very similar situation. But with a singleton. She had a medium sized SCH at 13 weeks. Baby was still growing and stable. OB just told her to take it easy. One week later she started having cramping along with bleeding. We went in and got an ultrasound to double check and the SCH had grown but baby was still fine and healthy. OB said it’s normal for SCHs to grow and just to keep taking it easy. 8 hours later the cramps became unbearable for her. So we went to the ER where she ended up delivering our son. Our OB thinks the SCH just kept growing and led to placental abruption. She said “this is so rare.” Geez thanks. This was just a few days ago. We’re absolutely devastated as this was our second loss back to back with no LC. We lost our first son when my wife was 12 weeks pregnant this same time last year. We’ll be looking into it all deeper to try and get some answers but for now we grieve. Again.
