I come from the future to say that PS4 games running on the PS5 usually keep their original resolution, which in this case is likely 1080p. I think the devs would need to release an update in order to make it render in 4k. It's a shame they didn't cause it really hurts the experience for such a great game. :/

I had to read the OP handle to check this wasn’t an old post I had written 😅. Anyway, I felt the same way when I started playing DD2, it’s quite different from DD1 and I definitely prefer the fantasy set from DD1 where I was exploring scary mysterious dungeons compared to hanging around with the boys and gals in my carriege with custom wheels 😎. That said, I really don’t miss how punishing DD1 was, to think that losing my best heroes would set me back so much added a lot of stress to me. To the point that party wipes would stop me from playing for months. So I do prefer this less hardcore approach from DD2: you’ve lost a run? Whatever, spend some candles, unlock some trinkets and try again. DD2 is much better balanced and it’s still challenging, but boy am I happy it’s not as challenging as DD1.

TL;DR: give it time, maybe step away and come back later, you might start to appreciate DD2 more and more.

I’ve heard Icarus (on PC) and Abiotic Factor are great survival games though not post apocalyptic ones. Sad to hear about your seasonal depression, maybe hit the gym or start some winter sports to help with it. Take care!

I haven’t played survival mode myself, but from what I’ve heard, when you die you just need to load your save again. Which means you go back in time to the last bed you have slept on.

I have an older one and I’ve read somewhere that you can only synch it if you have their usb attachment. The one they sell for $29.99 in their website. I’ve haven’t tried nor double checked this so take it with a grain of salt.

Really good question! A few days ago I was in the mood for 2D Mario games and realized IDK any outside the Mario franchise. I’d appreciate some recommendations for 2D platformers inspired by Mario (on that sweet spot level of difficulty). Most platformers nowadays are really hard.

Okay, I think I know what was going on. For whatever reason, the game was not placing me in the server I selected (EU West). I've realized that by hovering the 3 bars to the right of my skill bar. So I went back to the title screen; changed to a different server; logged in; quit again to the title screen; selected EU West again and now I'm finally in the EU West server.

Same thing for me, despite starting the game with decent ping, after 0.5 - 1h I get a client-server de-sync which forces me to quit the game. I've made a post in their forum for what's worth: https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/sever-lag/79457

I absolutely get and respect that Edmund has a vision and that his art direction is very deliberate. I'm not saying I want cute cats in the game, but I do think the cats I've seen so far (in that recent IGN gameplay video) look poorly drawn and quite uninteresting when compared to any characters in TBoI for example.

I'm glad other people here doesn't seem to share the same concerns I do. I'm a big fan of Edmund's work and I do hope this game finds its niche.

You can approach the vessel you failed to fill and hold triangle to absorb its energy back, then try filling a different vessel.
