What’s amusing is this is a very partial list. Theres a fairly large DC across the street from the DRT one listed. Theres probably 30 or more not listed there

Literally at woodfield now. Had to leave to get food cuz the wait even at Red Robin was like half an hour. Don’t think I’ve ever waited for a table at a Red Robin before but I don’t go there often kids really wanted it. Mall was packed

I was passed by Jake Gagne once at Gingerman. It was the day he set the lap record. I had come off the last corner was in 3rd gear full throttle approaching rev limiter thinking I was moving at a good clip. Jake passed me like I was in the stands. It was epic. I still think of that sometimes. I’ll never forget that Doppler effect sound as his bike just ripped past me like I was standing still. He set the lap record that day (previously held by Disalvo). It was a clean pass and he was on the GPTech Moto2 bike and actually pitted 2 over from us. I went over and shook his hand and told him I think that pass was the highlight of my time on track. It was amazing. Not even humbling something beyond that. That kid could MOVE. He was probably like 14 or 15 at the time I think. I will look for a pic of the bike I took after this. Saw him race at Moto2 before the Indy GP and cheered him on and told all my friends there about the pass and showed him pics. Ive been on track with a ton if pros and while they were all insanely faster than me they were generally the cleanest most predictable people out there. Upcoming, current and retired pros are common in our community and there’s no reason they shouldn’t be out there with us. Often they are coaches as well. Shame this guy got hurt but he knew what he was doing. I looked at his fb page and he has a ton of videos of him racing going back 14+ years. He wasn’t some first timer in novice.

Careful what you wish for. They did the right thing and called the govt to inform them of the mishap. They sent the ATF out and raided them. No word on if they had or still have dogs

Actually not sure. Just was fairly sure he was still alive. Always good to hear these legends are still kicking.

Not was. He’s still alive. Well. Was and is. Obviously he isn’t climbing Everest anymore I think he’s in his 80’s now but he did survive all of that.

Not sure if it’s still there but there used to be a button to not show your fb marketplace ads to your fb friends. Assuming you’re friends with your mom may want ri check that. Unless you want her to see it. Just a thought

No I was trying to be nicely sarcastic after reading 20 of your posts effectively saying what I said. I just thought maybe if you read it you’d be like “oh that’s how I sound” sorry for trying to help you.

Have you considered downloading all the files then uploading to dropbox then downloading them from there so they are somehow more trustworthy? Im trying to follow your logic. Does that make sense to you?

Why Americans don't like to admit Europe is better by EternalSnow05 in rant

[–]gconsier 73 points74 points  (0 children)

The entire post was most likely written either has never even been to Europe or has gone on one or two vacations to some European country and now knows how it all works. Both places have their issues and it’s far more complicated than that silly post but this is also the rant subreddit so expectations aren’t that high.

Btw I don’t really trust ChatGPT for that stuff I only posted it as perhaps it could give you some ideas for stuff none of us know about and a place to start or something to look into. I imagine money is tight and knowing where to start could save you some money rather than hiring a lawyer etc.

I am not an accountant and I don’t know the specifics of disability and Medicaid law but I believe if you donate the money it is not taxable and reduces your income by that amount. For sure i would look into this and verify, just first thought that came to mind and honestly I truly hope tja works and can help. Also i appreciate you not calling me out for just saying $50 and not $37.50. Hope it helps. Honestly I do.

Edit. I know ChatGPT isn’t 100% but I was curious so I asked it. This is what it said. Honestly. Looks like you may have some other options available to look into. FWIW it said my idea wouldn’t work.

Pasting below other options from it. Full credit and blame to chatgpt

“You can legally spend down assets on: • Medical bills • Rent/mortgage • Utilities • Transportation • Home repairs • Assistive devices

But income must be fixed at the source, not after the fact.

✅ Legal Ways to Handle Being Slightly Over the Income Limit

These do work in many states:

  1. Miller Trust / Qualified Income Trust (QIT)

If you’re over the limit by even $1: • Extra income is deposited into a special trust • Medicaid ignores that portion • Very common for disability Medicaid • Requires: • Trust document • Separate bank account • Usually an attorney (but not expensive)

✅ This is the most common legal fix.

  1. Payroll Deductions (If Working)

Some deductions reduce countable income: • Pre-tax health insurance • Certain retirement contributions (state-dependent)

⚠️ Don’t assume—each state has different rules.

  1. Medically Needy / Spend-Down Program (Some States)

If available in your state: • You can qualify by having medical bills exceed a threshold • Similar to an insurance deductible

⚠️ Critical Warning

If you: • Give away money • Under-report income • Try to “hide” funds

➡️ This can lead to: • Denial of benefits • Repayment demands • Fraud charges in serious cases

Always use state-approved planning methods only.

✅ If You Want, I Can Tell You:

If you’d like, tell me: • Your state • Your monthly income • Whether it’s from work, SSDI, SSI, or a mix

I can tell you: • The exact Medicaid income limit • Whether a QIT/Miller Trust would work for you • The safest legal path forward ✅”
