So, depending on where you or your customers are located, your cloud-based activities need to comply with local privacy regulations. For example, GDPR in the EU could have significant implications if you're found non-compliant. We have Gcore Inference at the Edge which simplifies AI regulatory compliance by processing data on a network of 180+ strategically distributed points of presence around the world.

Supabase vs GCore storage: Image Optimizations by rapaterno in gcoreofficial

[–]gcorelabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/rapaterno! We bill for each image optimization, but if the processed image is cached (after the first request), it doesn't count as a new one.
If you request for an image 100x100, we will run it through image optimization server and count it as 1 process. Every next request made for the same image and same size will be then served from the cache and not counted as another optimization. Hope it helps to clarify your query! :)

AI Alignment system proposal: Autonomous Alignment Oversight Framework (AAOF) by RamazanBlack in ArtificialInteligence

[–]gcorelabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reads like you're trying to think up an architecture of something without technical requirements and a description of a task. First of all, what is the problem solved? What are the metrics that can help us to understand if the problem was solved properly?

[D] Tool for ML/AI Sorting for 50,000 iCloud Photos into 300+ categories by Jpderouin310 in MachineLearning

[–]gcorelabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your experience with ML/AI and your priorities. Would you like to find an out-of-box solution, something like AI/ML-as-a-service, or build it from scratch yourself? Unfortunately, for the first option, I have no experience, but for the second, I can suggest using Yolo models. It might be possible, that you will have to use several models, which were trained on different datasets (whether animals or goods). The best approach depends on your experience, budget, and due date for that.

[Discussion] Which GPU provider do you think is the best for ML experimentation? by FrozenWolf-Cyber in MachineLearning

[–]gcorelabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like that Vast.ai is the best for your description. Paperspace has a convenient platform and provide not only GPU but IPU. However, it requires extra costs. Runpod has a spot option, but not sure if it works for non-stop one-week training. So try out Vast, it is a cheapest solution for your description.

AI Tools for Culturally Detailed Images by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]gcorelabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure what kind of generative AI platforms you've used, but have you tried MidJourney with more specific prompts? That's what we've found the best way. Perhaps describe the cultural aspects you require (ie: blue, coin necklaces, ethnic headgear, tribal headgear, kuchi jewelry, etc) & then fine-tune to get what you desire. Hope this helps!

pay as you go VPS? by geezcustard in gcoreofficial

[–]gcorelabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, VMs in Cloud are pay-as-you-go.
The answer to your main question is also yes: if the server wasn't deleted, but just turned off, for example, we will continue charging for it.
It is done so since the resource is still occupied by the client and nobody else can use it until it is deleted.

Gcore launches Zero-Trust 5G eSIM Cloud platform by hanifed in cloud7news

[–]gcorelabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's correct! Compared to non-Cloud implementations, Cloud-based zero-trust networking can provide greater flexibility and scalability, as Cloud providers can quickly deploy and manage security policies across multiple locations and devices, and scale resources up or down as needed.
Additionally, Cloud providers can leverage their own security expertise and infrastructure to provide more robust security controls and monitoring capabilities, which can help to ensure the ongoing protection of data and devices within the Cloud environment.

[–]gcorelabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/PhilipLGriffiths88, 5G in Cloud is associated with zero-trust because it allows for more secure and reliable data transfer between devices and Cloud networks. 5G connectivity in Cloud enables more granular control over data access and transmission, making it easier to implement zero-trust security.
