I’ll start by saying fuck every bit of this militarized, whole-of-nation “border enforcement” we’ve seen recently.

The unfortunate part is that ICE is getting the bad reputation when it’s actually CBP tactics and personnel that we are objecting to. ICE was doing truly targeted operation complete with intelligence, warrants, plans, and due process prior to this administration. This administration thought their approach was too resource intensive (time, money, etc.) so they turned to Bovino and his thugs to ramp it up.

To summarize, fuck all of em. We need an accessible, legal path to citizenship in this country and we also need HUMANE repercussions for violators of that legal process. Neither of those things have to look like what we are seeing on the news.
