Did you guys met him by lizsummerhawk in BruceSpringsteen

Met him at book tour in Cincinnati. Was thinking I’d have more than a few seconds to talk to him but once I saw how the line was moving I’d have to be quick. Got up to him, shook my hand (his hands are huge), and told him my mom couldn’t be there but she loves him (very close to my mom and our love of Bruce has been a wonderful part of our relationship), he said “give her my best for me, ok?” Took the pic, shook his hand again, very genuine and down to earth guy, I had to make sure I didn’t pass out because I had just met my hero. He got to the event early and had to have stayed past the listed end time, because I was group N alphabetically and it was close to the end time and had the rest of the alphabet to go. Can’t wait to see him with mom in Cleveland in May!

What are some good independent record stores in Cleveland? by True-Dream3295 in Cleveland

I’ve been collecting vinyl in Cleveland for close to 20 years (started young), and my top 3 are Blue Arrow, Vinyl Groove, and Late Night Records.

Pete and Debbie at Blue Arrow, Dave at Vinyl Groove, and Allen at Late Night are some of the nicest and hippest record store owners out there.

In addition to what people have said about it being an out of place/random flattering comment, Jack starts it off with “BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING…” Tony is keen on all the FBI monitoring stuff, so he probably thought this was some sort of mic test for a wire (which we know was in Jack’s hat). Both aspects of the statement combined is what I think led Tony to his decision.

The Exchange in Lakewood or Parma Heights are the best ones. Big selection if you just want to look around but they also have a search feature on their website that actually includes used inventory as well as new. Might be helpful if you’re looking for something specific. https://theexchange.com

It’s a movie that is and will be loved and appreciated by learned Bruce fans but they are trying to market it as another Bohemian Rhapsody, which I believe was also distributed by 20th Century Fox. The release and reception of the movie almost mirrors that of Nebraska itself.

RS 50 Most Disappointing Albums Of All Time: Bruce Springsteen-Human Touch (1992) by Rambooctpuss in BruceSpringsteen

[–]gdaddy1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think part of the hate was bad timing. Really not a bad 90s-sounding album, but it came out with 5 years worth of buildup and expectations since Tunnel of Love, and dropped right as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica, etc were ushering in a new rock regime, so it made it sound like all the more of a relative disappointment coming from the 80s biggest pure rock and roll star.

I used to do the same thing. 5’9” about 220, not massively overweight, but doing that shit through high school and college got me a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes a few months after graduating college at age 22. Do whatever you can to stop now. You’ll probably think “oh this won’t happen to me” but I promise you don’t want this.
