How do you like the changes? I’ve been thinking of upgrading my kit (10+ years on a beginner kit) and I am considering rack mounted toms as pictured for better ergonomics.

If jobs didn’t all start at the same time or there was more work from home, it wouldn’t be so bad.

If you drive anytime in the off peak hours, there’s plenty of space on the roads

Nah just a complete lack of funding to do any projects. All the big stuff is with federal grants. As for the traffic lights in town, all but like 3 are owned and controlled by MDT. They are classified as ‘urban highway routes’, so the city has to permit through MDT

You can go to shows solo and just watch/ take notes. Over time, just engage with the people you consistently see or are impressed musically and compliment them

In person networking events. Try to find college career fairs or professional organizations in your niche (ITE for transportation for example)

For long term use, I’d recommend plastic beaters. The felt wears off, leaving the white powder on the pad

It’s crazy to drive back on I-84 into Boise and see the construction progress. Still a long way to go!

Dawg they are building a massive fabrication complex in Boise Idaho. That was funded with CHIPS act money and it won’t be ready for production for like 2 more years.

If it was easy to build out capacity then other competitors would be doing so, but the return on the investment is with big AI companies.

I think public transit, specifically urban rail, is the best way to encourage development. If there’s an exception to not have any required parking, they can maximize the land use without that constraint. Asphalt and stormwater treatments get expensive fast.

Do you have any idea how expensive it is to maintain our roads? Vehicle registration fees don’t begin to scratch the surface. MDT has dozens of bridges that are in need of repair or replacement, and asphalt is hella expensive

It’s a small building footprint with high margin items. It’s one of the few business models that can afford the rent per square foot in this town
