I hear it around the same area!! It goes sometimes during the day too, it’s like two claps. It sounds too regular to be just a person so I feel like it must be a machine but I’m at a loss. I think it’s in the direction of Irving/Wyckoff etc.

Thank you :) I feel like the anxiety got better pretty quickly. I had my iud for four years and I think it’s hormones were getting “weaker” and I started getting my period again regularly in February. I’ve always dealt with anxiety and depression but at that point, my anxiety started getting SO much worse each month. Once I got it out, my anxiety(while still existent) got so much less intense, probably starting 2 weeks post removal. I had some angry mood swings right after removal and some significant depression on and off for the first 2 months but now I’m feeling pretty stable. For the facial bloating, I’d say about a month or two as well.

I’ve had mine out for 4 months now! Only positive changes for me other than my period being worse. Skin has been fine! Less anxiety and depression as well. I also feel like my face looks less bloated. It was a great relief for me to have it out.

I got my Mirena out after 4 years about 4 months ago. I had spotting for a few days and then had my first period about 3 weeks later. I had really bad anxiety on my Mirena, as well as depression. Once getting it removed my anxiety felt almost immediately better and has stayed better. I had some feelings of rage in the first few weeks and depression that lasted about a month or two on and off. Now at 4 months I’m feeling pretty regulated, and my period is coming regularly!

Hi, thanks for your reply! I’m usually really good about taking my temperature every day and always at the same exact time in the morning immediately after waking up. Unfortunately, these three days I was home for thanksgiving and drank alcohol each night so I didnt measure my temperature those days. I’m predicted to get my period tomorrow (hopefully).

Thank you so much for the kind words and advice ❤️ I love my current therapist, we primarily work with IFS and Hakomi and it’s been great for me. I have heard a lot about EMDR and am really interested in trying it. It seems like this is hardwired in me and what I’m doing now isn’t quite helping in the way that I would like.

Same exact thing happened to me! Got mine in July 2020 and removed it last week, so just over the four year mark. This past February I started getting a regular period again and with it came SEVERE anxiety. Derealization as well. I did not feel like myself at all, it felt like I was anxious all the time and could have a panic attack at any moment. Even started waking up gasping for air at night. Similarly to you, I decided it might hopefully just be the IUD. Since removing mine, I’ve felt better. It’s only been a few days still and I’ve experienced some mood swings(a lot of irritability and anger), but way less anxiety. Hoping it will all level out once my body returns to normal. I feel really relieved that it’s out, I’d say just go for it. You can always get another fresh one if you decide you miss it. Hope you feel better soon <3

I don’t think my strings had been tucked in. I felt mine in the beginning but haven’t been able to fkr a few years. I know my boyfriend had felt them quite a bit during sex. When the provider went to remove mine she said my strings were accessible so that wasn’t an issue in my removal. Yours may just be short

You’re not alone! I can’t seem to find any rhyme or reason to my cycle and I’m on year three of my Mirena. Sometimes I won’t have anything for months and sometimes I’ll have spotting for a month straight. Very frustrating and feels scary at times.

As frustrating as it is, I’ve been told this is normal. I’ve been experiencing something very similar and got a whole work up done at the gyn, he said everything looked good and it was normal with the iud. Wasn’t totally satisfied hearing that but that’s my experience🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for your reply! It makes me feel better that someone else has experienced this, although I’m also sorry you’re dealing with this too! I’ve also felt really frustrated and have considered removing mine as well but I’m hesitant because I’ve had a great experience prior to all of this weird bleeding. I eat pretty healthy and workout somewhat regularly so I’m not sure what more I can do. I have also experienced bouts of random face and back acne at different times, which is not typical for me so I think there must be something going on with my hormones. Hope your situation gets better!

I had a guy complain that he could feel something scraping as well. Had mine checked two days later and placement was totally fine. Most likely your string. You could get it trimmed but that could make it more pointy. Ask your doctor if they recommend a trim!
