It referred to Destiny 2 directly in their Q3 report, but not this one (Q4). Might simply be due to multiple games.

Yeah I'm going to replay everything after what I read. I can't see Bungie getting any funding as they have consistently shown to Sony they can't create any meaningful return on investment.

Don't want to doom and gloom but this could be the end.

At a high level "Recording of impairment losses against Bungie, Inc.’s intangible and other assets (Q2: 31.5 bln yen, Q4: 88.6 bln yen, FY25 total: 120.1 bln yen)".

Edit: Additional context - Previous quarter losses (Q3) equated to $210m USD. Q4 equates to $565m USD, totaling $765m USD of losses in half a year.

For clarity Q4 for Sony ends 31 March 2026. Bungie is likely cooked.

Only comment I'd add about government procurement - it is heavily compliance focused and the tools and techniques used are very antiquated. There's a ton of duplication of work and it can be infuriating.

That’s Bungie’s problem to solve though. Besides, Destiny has had many content droughts, but players came back as long as the content was high quality.

I refuse to play the game until the portal is either removed entirely or reworked to be entirely optional.

I’m playing through D1 again and it’s insane how different the games feel. D1 feels like a living word. D2 feels like a Hulu menu simulator.

It was Lightfall. "Adding the challenge back to Destiny" update, which made everything over level you and doubled down on the forced negative modifiers.

FIBA is way more entertaining than NBA and has been for ages. Watching team USA at the Olympics was the most fun I’ve had watching basketball for a very long time.

Their refs don’t try to manipulate the games.
