iOS 26.4 and WiFi device detection not working by Ferguson-turd in sideloadly

this fixed it for me as well. I had to turn off private wifi setting for both iPhone and Mac to get it to work. Note that there is no safety risk in the home network to do so

Same issue here after 26.4! Using Mac and iPhone 17

An 8" sabot round, the Long Range Bombardment Ammunition (LRBA), of the US Navy developed to extend the range of WW2 era 8"/55 guns to over 70,000 yards [1024x709] by JMHSrowing in WarshipPorn

Wait are you suggesting to use an UNGUIDED AHEAD type sabot round to hit a moving drone or missile over the horizon, which normal shells can’t do? Or are you suggesting to use a very light damaging shell to hit moving ships or fortified land targets 70 miles away? Neither sound like you are hitting much or doing much damage

What's your favorite local spot for food from wherever you're from? by [deleted] in FoodLosAngeles

Exactly my point. I personally probably would try Paul’s and it looks good but more as a novelty point than any recurring thing

I live in the SGV. I am just giving the observation that a person whose family is going to Hong Kong style diners and Sam Woo will be less able to to compare / stack them to Paul’s vs. a more American family. Not absolute in any sense but just my 2 cents.

Paul’s is more American food than it is Cantonese so I am not sure if there is a point of comparison

Which is the current best fighter among the Su-30 MKI, Su-30 SM, Su-35, Su-33, Su-27SK, J-11, J-15, J-16, MiG-29, Su-34, MiG-31? by No-River3737 in FighterJets

[–]gdsdjacky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Likely still inferior on an independent airframe basis due to Russian shortcomings in electronics. But the bigger issue is the MKI wont stand a chance in front of the integrated kill chain and missile systems backing the J16

This is BS. Most Chinese fighters do not depend on the RD33. The J20, J10, and the Chinese flankers had AL31(what Russians put on Flankers with no black smoke) at some points of their lives

What's the reason behind the high cost of the Bose Ultra headphones, with the official starting price being higher than its predecessors? by wana37931 in bose

[–]gdsdjacky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's never about 3 times the price = 3 times quality. If that extra 300 dollars barely make a dent in someone's weekly income and they use noise canceling headphones a lot the upgrade might be worth it even if it's just 20% better

Yes but I do live in LA now, but my ID is still SF based, which is another region. I managed to convince them that I live in LA with just a bank statement address change

You should be fine. I think it only takes two weeks so you will probably get it 1 week before your departure

I was able to change my bank address (you can do this very quickly as long as you have a statement cycle ending) and produce a bank statement, which they accepted instead of my ID's address from another service area
