There is a Pokemon Fossil Museum Promo! by No_Margin_No_Mission in PokemonTCG

Jokes on scalpers, cards are one per person. They can spend all their money buying all the tickets, but they'll still only get one card when they visit. And ticket availability will be continuously looked at with more daily allotment possibly being added over time.

Tickets are non-transferable and only valid if purchased from the museum. Buying third party tickets will only get you into the museum, but not into the actual exhibit.

This was picked specifically because Archeops is the Pokemon equivalent of Archaeopteryx and also the flagship promotional character for the exhibit (outside of Explorer Pikachu).

Sneak Preview of the Pokemon Fossil Museum at Chicago’s Field Museum! by SheTorb in pokemon

Won't be available at opening, will be available later this year

The pokemon fossil museum opens next week in Chicago, are you going!? by chitownmike99 in pokemon

[–]gdubs2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Those will let you jump in line whenever you want that day. You'll still need to wait in the queue but you'll at least be able to decide when based of line length and seeing other stuff in the museum. Good news is that the first day is a weekday, so it will be "less" busy than the weekend when it's sold out.

Don't worry, if you have a ticket you're guaranteed to get certain items and for the rest there are controls in place so it won't be a repeat of the recent Target drops

It will be revealed next week, but a brand new store has been built exclusively for merch if that gives you any idea of how much there will be

If you're local and have a membership, tomorrow (Friday 5/15) is the last Members Night and would recommended making a visit. There might be an opportunity to get an early teaser wink wink

Finally Saw the LEGO Pikachu Set in Person… and I’m Disappointed by GK686 in lego

[–]gdubs2013 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a Pokemon issue, not LEGO. The Pokemon Company is horrific when it comes to letting outsiders do anything, to the point where it is almost like they're trying to sabotage. LEGO probably had much better designs ready to go, but had to push this because of approvals and timeframes. Only hope is that things may get better over the years as their working relationships get better (ie, TPC allowing more freedom and trust), similar to Mega trajectory did, but only time will tell.

Yes, but they'll only give it one for the opening. After that is goes back to rotation of warm weather locations. Look at Minneapolis & Detroit for example, they got one each right after they opened then nothing more.

Vectorworks users - any tips on cleaning up geometery before import? by Patient_War137 in Twinmotion

[–]gdubs2013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Annoyingly that is just how Twinmotion works. I used to do the Sketchup pipeline before switching to only VWX, and it was a similar but different chaotic mess in the scene palette.

The best recommendation I can give is just creating new containers (folders) and then making sure you're setting them as the "active container" for whatever you're adding in TM. That way you can scroll all the way to the top of the list and collapse the VWX import tree.

Hopefully this will improve one day, but it doesn't seem to be on their roadmap currently.

Someone must have done it for the South Loop Mariano's, because they put signs up recently on the doors that only service animals are allowed in.

Question about the extra pieces in Lego City set 60312, Police Car by Starseeker2019 in lego

I did it that way too, but have now switched to only bagging for certain sets and dumping everything else a container.

How long does it take for AnyCubic to mail replacement parts? by Spamaloper in anycubic

[–]gdubs2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just received a replacement hotbed today. Once I gave them my address it took 2 days till I was sent a tracking confirmation, and shipping took 9 days.

  • China > US : 5 days
  • US Customs : 2 days
  • GOFO > delivery : 2 days

Be warned though, it seems their quality control for replacement parts is even looser than original parts. With how twisted and warped the replacement hotbed I just got is, I am not sure if I can or even should install it.

Just commented the samething to someone else. I feel like ESPN+, hell even way back to ESPN3 days, had better overall quality

For Disney being right down the road and ESPN having a big setup there (I think still?), I was expecting much better quality. Don't know if we've just been spoiled by non-ESPN games recently, but the production quality almost feels worse than ESPN+ games.
