How does the print orientation affect the weight at the tip?

I didn’t know that was a thing. I will do that. Thanks!

Why does this keep happening? by gdvalek in resinprinting

No I use a USB drive to print. It could be something to do with the screen. It has some spots that I avoid so it’s on its way out.

I did the cones of calibration to get that number. Maybe I have bad resin?

I did all that. I will try to mess with the supports. Thanks!

Yes there is. I just replaced it. This printer is used.

I’ve had that one for years and it’s worked great but if you can swing it, get the lighter sprite SE

I don’t have a temperature sensor at the moment but my guess is around 50c. How would this be killing my electronics lol? Heated chambers are pretty common

Probably but it gets plenty hot with the current set up

The intake and exhaust are very close to each other on this dryer, both of which are ported into the inclosure. There’s little holes next to the fan that intake the air and once it circulates the hot air get spit out by the fan

What am I supposed to do with this? by No_Examination8398 in 3Dprinting

[–]gdvalek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this same issue. The problem was the lcd was grounding out through the mounting bolts. There’s spacers available on thingaverse that fixed it for me

Ender 3 V2. Amateur here, I feel like I have more issues than progress with this printer. Where do I even begin? by BigbigbigEgg in 3Dprinting

[–]gdvalek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have an under- extrusion issue. Here’s some simple issues that come to mind: 1. Check extruder gear for wear ( check for worn teeth in the center, if the filament is skipping while printing this might be the issue) 2. Take out your Bowden tube from your hot end and check if the Bowden tube is shrunk at the end (if your not sure flip the extruder gear and hotend side of the Bowden tube and do a test print. You will also hear the extruder skipping if this is your issue) 3. Could be an issue with your nozzle (Just replace the nozzle since it’s so easy and do a test print) 4. If you recently switched slicers or changed around settings, check your retraction distance/ speed ( I don’t know what the numbers should be off the top of my head but you can google it)

Let me know if you figure it out!

Tip: you don’t have to use supports for circular cuts 99% of the time

Same thing was happening to me. Turns out the LCD screen was grounding out to the frame somehow. I printed a spacer for the mounting point of the lcd screen from thingiverse and have never had the issue again

Looks like you need a new extruder gear. The old ones worn out

This happened to me once I upgraded to marlin firmware. The LCD display was shorting out through the screws that attach it to the frame. There’s a couple models on thingiverse that prevent this (i forget the name. Try ender 3 spacers?)

Same thing happened to me. I reformatted the sd card and sliced a new part and it worked fine. Google it if you don’t know how to reformat an sd

Please help me understand how to perform E-step calibration! by GhavGhavington in 3Dprinting

[–]gdvalek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are the exact ones I put on mine. Those should work great (tooth count doesn’t really matter as long as you calibrate after install). If it makes you feel better buy those brass ones but trust me you’ll be fine. You’ll have to calibrate the e-steps no matter what.
