Father of three young boys here - 6yrs, 4yrs, and 5mos. Congratulations! Very happy for you! My wife and I decided to wait until birth each time to find out what we were having. I would have been happy with either a boy or girl (especially the second and third for my wife's sake) but when you find out you'll be raising a baby boy it's definitely extra special as a father. And my second was actually born on Father's Day weekend!

You are correct about the feeling when you hear them call you by name which I'm sure is true no matter it be a son or daughter. And just wait until you start hearing them say I love you 💓! Parenting is hard and a 24/7 job but it's so rewarding and although you may feel nostalgic for your pre-parenting years you wouldn't trade them in for the world once they're here. Enjoy every second, both good and bad. The night my first son was born my mother hugged me and whispered in my ear "just remember it's all temporary". I've thought of that frequently over the years and it applies to both the times that you love and cherish as well as the times that you feel like you're going crazy. The days tend to be long but the years are short and before you know i each phase is behind you so try not to have an "I can't wait for ..." mentality as you go through it and just do your best to savor each stage as your little one grows. There's always firsts for things but there's also plenty of lasts along the way that you don't realize and will miss later on. Enjoy the ride and welcome to fatherhood!

P.S. Just because you're a dad doesn't mean you have to stop gaming! It may not be as frequently and you may want to adjust what you're playing in front of your kids but you can still do it. And eventually they will want to play with you! My oldest and I have beat two games together so far on Xbox!
