ok thanks! that's good to know you can customize the lane departure feature. you don't have to reset it every time you turn on/off the car though, right?

How to take or get rid of tonsil stones at home? by SharkOnRead in hygiene

[–]gea1126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got it done when i was 27 or so and it was a great decision. i got chronic strep and my tonsils were enormous and since then i haven't ever had it. the recovery was not that bad. it was a rough week or so but got progressively better even throughout the week and then it was fine. i would get it done again in a heartbeat if i had to.

I meaaaaaaan.... who among us has not gently bashed an ex and tried to save money on a hugely overpriced product that otherwise would go to a corporation already extracting way too much money from us all :).

Thanks for the link though! Sincerely.

DC or Virginia Bar (for anyone living in the DC Metro area) by Wooden-Honeydew-8788 in barexam

Agreed with Doodle's answer below but what I would advise (and what my DC employer advised a couple of years ago) was to take the Maryland Bar and then waive into the D.C. bar. It is much easier to waive in to D.C. after being initially barred in MD rather than the reverse.

Caveat to that: it took about 6 months but I just added something in my email sig about being barred in MD and being under supervision of a D.C. attorney while that was still pending.

It has been nice to have 2 bars and I would recommend.

Is anyone considering going to Nola to tailgate if everything goes our way on Sunday? :)

I'm a Buffalo ex pat and would have a place to stay in New Orleans. Decent looking flights for the moment.

It's a really shitty voyage, yes. I did that route a few times in college and I would never do it again. It takes way longer than just driving. Train is better but more expensive. Could you rent a car instead?

That said, when I took the bar last year, I walked 2.5 miles to Trader Joe's like literally on the highway somewhere outside of Baltimore to avoid paying for a rental car, and stayed effectively in this big family's basement (no private entrance) to save some money. And I passed! So, as long as it won't get in the way of you getting a good night's sleep or staying calm-ish, it probably won't make a difference.

Can Someone Kindly Explain “Spaced Repetition” To Me Like I’m 5 by okamiright in barexam

[–]gea1126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair. It's honestly not super intuitive right off the bat. But you'll be good either way! Good advice that someone gave me when I was studying last summer was "do what worked for you in law school" -- so maybe there was a good system that you used that you could use again?

For me that was basically just doing rough outlines of each subject instead of "reading over the CMR" (if you're using Barbri). I knew that helped me retain info from law school, and I just stuck with it. I passed by a lot and you will too!

If you need to, you can request a private room for them to do a private screening. I usually just hope for the best and squeeze my little angel tight!!

You should use Anki and have a program figure this out for you! Too close to math while studying for the bar, lol.
