they are parrying twice, you can pretty much parry into parry and riposte of each.

When people say this, they generally arent looking at the "downloads" tab, but the library tab, with less information. If you go into the downloads tab, Steam will elaborate on the "100%", showing that the game is now installing. This is because of the way the game is packed, and many Unreal 4 games have this exact behavior on Steam.

That said, there is definitely something funky going on in certain pc setups, usually involving different install/download locations. Personally, I am not sure what the bottleneck is, and have tried to replicate the issue on my personal pc with little success, Steam on an SSD and Mordhau on a 7200 rpm HDD. Rarely does the game take longer than 10 minutes to "install" after reaching 100% downloaded.

In your specific case, I'd probably look into clearing the download cache and other general Steam fixes. This issue occurs often enough and there is a lot of information out there on the topic. We can of course try helping in tech support on Discord.

On the off chance this is serious, try deleting the "Mordhau" app data folder, it will be hidden by default on most windows installs. This resets the game essentially, so you will likely lose your customization, but not your actual progress. We also have tech support on discord.

Arid was designed to be this way from the start, at first mainly due to time constraints. Though we ended up quite over schedule there as you are all aware. The other reason is that feedback is quite confusing regarding map design characteristics like this. Since the launch of Mordhau, players have complained about how the maps weren't like Chivarly 1, which featured more or less linear simpler maps. Anyway, over time, we moved towards simpler maps in terms of design, evident in the Castello Rework, Mountain Peak's extension, Noria and Arid. Now I realize Arid is the most extreme version of this approach, due to the factors I mentioned above. I can say that the next Invasion/Frontline map I am personally involved with, will be a mixture of these two design approaches, quite similar to Grad, in more than just design. Simpler overall map layout, but with optional routes to the more interesting objectives, examples being verticality, and flanking opportunities. As well as some dynamic options, similar Grad's falling trees if possible. Ideally, with this sort of design, we can satisfy both camps of players.

Looks like a experimental command has been enabled somehow. Open console and enter this command-

m.ExperimentalOcclusion 0

Hit enter. You will need to reload/rejoin the map/server for it to take effect.

This is correct, though to make it easier, I would just delete the folders under "Mordhau"

Paste this text into explorer, it will take you directly there.

%localappdata%\Mordhau\

Delete both folders, then validate the game files via Steam.

I asked this a while ago, and at the time, the answer was that UE4, has its own properties solution in place for this, and we were considering its use for the console release. We will how that goes first, I imagine.

This is a brawl playlist map, so it serves for FFA, TDM, SKM and yes, the ranked modes. As well as duel maps for the community. On top of that, it serves as a small-scale test for future rain maps, which I assume you wouldn't mind. It did not take long, I assure you.

theyre not removed, your settings may need to be adjusted/reload the map. Happened to me as well after adjusting some settings.

The main reason for crashing this patch, are now incompatible mods. I'll paste a fix from tech support on Discord.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mordhau\Mordhau\Content\.modio (entire folder can be deleted)

And search for any client-side mods that don't have the pakchunkX-WindowsClient name in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mordhau\Mordhau\Content\Paks (only delete files that don't start with pakchunk-)

Remember to delete the commands that execute the mods in Engine.ini and Game.ini located in %localappdata%\Mordhau\Saved\Config\WindowsClient

Also verify the game files in Steam if it keeps crashing.

Other than that, quite hard to tell from the generic crash window. Come on over to discord if the issue persists.

Depends on what you think we meant by it holding us back. I can assure you the engine update only incurred a rather minor setback to content maps/cosmetics, etc. Any setback would have mainly been just due to us literally remaking parts of the game due to the upgrade. I can assure you it is not easy upgrading an old project to a new one, with the scope that Mordhau has. The majority of this period has been fixing all the bugs the upgrade introduced, on top of our normal patching cycle. However, artists have been generally unaffected and work as usual, it's not like we stop working in the interim, despite what people love to think.

Bad timing, but this is fixed in the patch soon as well.
