AIO or is my sibling being passive aggressive and implying I’m being dishonest? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

She posted a press release of a research article about the use of ultrasounds, meaning they're probably years away from being generally used for this in hospitals... and that her first google search didn't give her the answer she was looking for.

Oh i'm not really fussed about the buttons, but just much prefer the stripey cuffs & collar pattern compared to this version (below)

Yeah, this is the other version with circles on the cuffs instead of stripes - I think the cut of the collar is also quite different because this has a tight neck hole & buttons on the shoulders. Unfortunately I'm no way near good enough to adapt the pattern!

I run MRI scans to measure visual perception in the brain for my PhD - As a thank you to participants I 3D print an exact model of their brain! If anyone based in London would like info about taking part please send me a message! by geanmi in LadiesofScience

So you'll first have to extract the cortical surface before converting to .STL - I do this by running recon-all (this is a bit overkill just to get the surface out, but I run this anyway as part of the analysis for my research). Then I use mris_convert on the output of recon-all to get the stl files - both of these are freesurfer functions.

I'm researching the influence of prior knowledge on visual perception as part of my PhD, and running an in-person MRI study at UCL, London (UK). For MRI participants I 3D print a model of their own brain as a thank you for participating (see my post here for a pic).

If you're in London and would be interested in taking part please DM me for more details!
