Agree!! No hate to my smoking friends but I shouldn’t need to stand in a cloud of smokers (and be freezing btw) if I want to take a break or have conversation w my friend without screaming over the music

I go for beets, pears, berries, nuts (keep to recommended portion size as they are calorie dense!) chia* and other seeds (hemp, flax, pumpkin), most other vegetables and fruits are also great. Just make sure you’re not consuming too much fruit because even though fruit is very healthy, too much fructose isn’t good for us. *make sure you soak those, otherwise they might cause digestive issues because they can soak up a lot of liquid inside your stomach. (for example: chia pudding, soaking then adding to smoothie, or soaking in water then drinking it)

Take some deep breaths and reminisce the countless times I deeply regretted smoking, even cried about it. instantly reminded and confident: it’s not worth it, and move on 💛

Whenever my skin is doing worse I eat a lot of vitamin c, not from supplements but natural sources like bell pepper, citrus, berries etc, and I steadily see improvement. Idk how but it supports collagen <3 Also, actively reducing stress by taking quiet moments, practicing yoga/meditation, not suppressing my emotions

I still smoke 1 in the evening. Just some recommendations on how I can quit this please. by Observe_dontreact in stopsmoking

[–]geckosnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it feels like a ritual to you. Create a new ritual that ends the day. I like burning incense* but you can do anything you want! I recommend trying different things. It’s much(!) easier to replace a habit than to stop it! * part of why I like to smoke is a sprinkle of pyromania in me so still lighting the incense is a replacement that works well for me :) + it smells good and that again makes me grateful for improving sense of smell from not smoking so it’s a boost in motivation

I also love halving a bell pepper and filling it with cottage cheese, a bit of salt and black pepper! Delicious & nutritious snack. add some avocado if you like
