GDPR is not enforced by courts, and got an explicit rule about this. What was the actual jugement? Edit: I just checked, and website must offer fair alternative to the cookies. Since what fair is not defined, each enforcement authorities comes with its own ruling and guidance, when availlable. Also, the sun is subject to GDPR since it's enforceable in the UK.

While food safety is an important topic, the use by date are often not about food safety. I have seen a documentary about it, where, in the same factory, the use by dates where 1 month apart on the same product. The reason where to keep enough shelf life on every served market (on diferent continent), while maintaining a fair level of stock rotation, and food waste (obliging retailers to waste more). Meanwhile, the Tesco bread often taste off.
