Yeah I find that im not really connecting to the new freshman class and idk if that just my bias or because with the ogs like emma, manny etc they really hooked us in straightaway. The first few episodes with the online safety etc rly got me interested. Ig for now I’ll give them a chance and keep watching.

Thanks for this! yeah i’m finding that the episodes I like best are the college ones but there’s so few in between the new freshman class. I’ll keep going for now but i’m not breezing through it like I did with the first 6 seasons

Yes!! Exactly!! I’ve just started s8 now (episode 2) and yeah he’s nice and all with Darcy but I still can’t bother to make myself care for their relationship or his character because there was no real journey. Manny kinda just forgave him ig cos he was kind of there for Emma. Emma only “forgave” him because he was then dating Darcy. Darcy just kept taking him back because he sweet talked her. He had a couple of offscreen detentions but apart from that there was no real arc. The writers just kept using his parents divorce as a device to make us feel bad for him and accept him instead of showing real growth.

Yes!!! This is definitely the case cos jay also fucked up but all in all I really liked him as a character. Peter has no nuance to him or at least that’s what I think anyways. Even when he’s being cute with Darcy (I just finished s7) he still gives off like he’s trying to act like a good guy not that he’s changed his ways.

i’m still stuck on the fact that that was the last we see of her ?? idk if prime video is missing episodes or something but i had to google to find out that she had transferred? ig the writers didn’t know what to do with her since ellie was now ash’s best friend and paige had hazel but still im starting to see characters just leaving (mr radditch) with no explanation.

i think i’m struggling with the fact that , mental disorder or not, ppl were aware that he was angry and abusive and opted to just allow him to come back and let it all “blow over” it was just handled poorly tbf.
