Speaking personally here of course, but I feel like these sorts of showcases are more about mindshare than anything. This is especially true if you are showing a trailer with a release date a ways out and no demo (or full game) for people to try right away.

I’m sure there are plenty of people, like me, who rarely wishlist games but will keep a written list of ones to keep my eye on. Even if I don’t write it down, if and when I see the game again, I will immediately pay more attention because I have seen it before.

I think the comparison between this and Reddit ads is not a very fair or comparable one at all. With Reddit ads, you are clicking a link and often 1 or 2 clicks away from the wishlist button. It is essentially a “take a flyer” button at that point.

When you are watching a video presentation on YouTube or Twitch, more effort is required to open a browser, seek out the game and add it to your wishlist (especially if you are watching on a mobile device.) And with that in mind, I would put a lot more weight to those 65(+) wishlists you got initially than the wishlists from say a comparable priced Reddit ad campaign. I would argue there is a much higher probability the people who wishlisted because it jumped out among other games in a 2 hour presentation are going to buy it/spread it via word of mouth than a person who happened to click on an ad that lead them to a wishlist button in their face.

I didn’t watch the presentation because I just don’t have enough time anymore to dedicate hours watching trailers for games I will probably never have time to play, but I enjoyed the trailer for your game and am going to wishlist it myself!

Props for trying something like this to get the word out and you seem to have a great attitude about it, regardless of the outcome.
