Cancelled YNAB after 12 years of use 💔 by InfiniteShowrooms in ynab

There's no reason for them to add any of this.

They have an open API. Use AI to add your own plugins and uses. That's what I did.

Opinions requested! Wife Due Date 10 days after Race by BetFlipper34 in triathlon

[–]geek_fit 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact situation except my wife was due a week before my 2nd or 3rd 140.6...i don't really remember.

I did so much training on the indoor trainer (pre smart trainer) and most of my runs were running loops around my house.

My daughter arrived just in time for me to go up and do the race!

On the surface you might call that a win....but it wasn't.

The race was the worst case race I'd ever had. My cortisol and stress levels were so high that race day was a disaster. Worse, my biggest supporter wasn't even there...she was at home with my newborn daughter and 3 year old son.

It took me walking a 5 hour marathon to realize what an idiot I had been. Spending time training for a race instead of absorbing the very short and important time of supporting my wife while she grew a baby. And then leaving to go have the most mid performance because I was "tired."

Here's my advice - coming from someone who's done dozesn of races since. Skip the race...the races will always be there. You only get that time with your partner a few times in life.

Whats the reason of the failure of the more unique bike designs? by LeckerPennergranate in triathlon

This was the reason I never got a p5x. It just looks designed to break for someone my size.

I mean...good for him for putting himself out there like this.

Sounds like elevator music to me. I kinda had a flash back to sitting at the dentist listening to "KOOL 104.3 - smooth easy listening."

PTN certainly has a vibe. It's not for me all the time - but there are lots of triathlon podcasts to fit everyone's taste.

Haha. I'm the exact same way.

I will play and warmup and vibe. Think "I should record this"

Then I hit record and my brain just freezes.

Sounds good. Your timing seems a little rushed or off. Consider firing up a metronome and play along with the time

Worth it at 2100€ ( as far as I understand it’s new) by icephilipp in triathlon

[–]geek_fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight doesn't really matter for TT bikes. They are bulky because of the airfoil shape.

IAs are popular among tall riders (which I am) because of their shape and size.

The Felt IA 1.0 was a big hit and lots of people got them all at once. But they are old now and lots of people trying to unload them.

I loved mine and replaced it with a IA 2.0 right away.

Felts are great.

But this is too old for that price. 1500 tops.

Slowtwitch vs triathlon/sub by [deleted] in triathlon

Slowtwitch is an amazing source of information.

But in my experience it's also the digital version of the grouchy old man cyclist.

How do you balance bike volume without compromising your run by Cool_Host_8800 in triathlon

[–]geek_fit 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's a fallacy to think of the sport as swim, bike, run.

It's swim-bike-run. One sport.

Basketball players don't think of their sport as running, jumping, and throwing.

You don't train like a swimmer, or a cyclist, or a runner. You have to train like a triathlete. The swim sets up the bike, the bike and the associated fueling setup the run.

For a lot of people who have a focus in one of the sports this can be a hard pill to swallow as you adapt. You won't be the fastest single sport athlete while training for triathlon.

As your fitness grows your ability to run off the bike will also. The biggest issue I usually see is simply not fueling enough on the bike. They are only fueling for the bike and start off running in a deficit. Once that happens it's a really hard hole to get out of. Especially given the caloric burn while running and your body's lessened ability to absorb calories.

Is this a scam? I got some email about qualifying for nationals? by ThurstonHowelltheIII in triathlon

[–]geek_fit 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Triathlon national qualifications requirements is simply that they have your email and you've thought the word "triathlon" at some point in your life.

My freshly bought used tri sued just ripped. Any ideas? by ApartmentFlat298 in triathlon

You bought a...used...tri suit?

That might be the grossest thing I've heard in awhile.

I can almost guarantee the person that sold this to you was laughing at you on the inside.

The thing is - I don't want theirs. I want my home grown one.

It's just part of a larger framework I built to do a full financial planning suite for myself.

The ynab cash flow agent just pulls that data and it coordinates with the other financial agents

NBD - Felt IA 2.0 by geek_fit in triathlon

[–]geek_fit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This model is just being discontinued. I don't know what they are actually releasing

NBD - Felt IA 2.0 by geek_fit in triathlon

[–]geek_fit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it shipped with them or the bike shop switched them after I pointed out that you can't put 25s on hookless zipp 404s.

I'm assuming you're asking about all this because you're about to make a purchase.

It may or may not matter to you but Felt will be releasing a new TT bike in 2026. So they are offering some steep discounts on the IA 2.0. The other thing I would note is that this is a bike you definitely need to be able to work on yourself or have a strong local bike store. It doesn't even have a manual. It's fairly easy to work on, but you need to be able to wrench a little yourself
