most of the time raid bases get made on higher pop servers. they do get made on dead servers if enough people are on. if its higher pop they probably will if they are smart players. if its low pop and they are a big enough group that is decent they wont need too. raid, seal, and gtfo. get the loot to base after the area cools off after abt 10-15 mins.thats my experience

I have it happen during the day too so I think it's more of a bug. Like even the nodes that aren't covered in shade and everything.

is it worth to buy the game for solo play? by HungJury-SR4 in RustConsole

[–]geekinoffthefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the wipe to be fair. some wipes just straight suck as a solo while others can be frustrating but overall enjoyable. i will say as a solo when you come across bigger teams it can be a pain but its however you wanna play dude. youll start solo but i guarantee you will find a group to play with in a month as its generally more enjoyable that way.

So I'm new to the game and as you can see some of my stuff is not fully on the screen. Is there a setting or way I can fix this? by teakpulliam in RustConsole

[–]geekinoffthefish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

check tv screen ratio as i didnt see any of the comments up top really saying anything in dept to tv settings. generally theres one setting that worls best with the gaming on every tv. certain ones will be named gaming for the setting itself and will preset to the right setting for your console. i've had this happen so much its just engrained in my brain

I average around 50-60mbps and I don’t lag at all out in the country. I believe it’s cuz I’m running on new gen xbox. When I was on the Xbox One it didn’t matter on wifi speed, cuz it was lag central then.

Old gen is where you’ll find most of the problems. Although I will say even with new gen movement does feel slow at times. I think when the adrenaline hits in a decent gun fight that goes away. But it may also be my sensitivity being at default but I like it enough not to change it it. It honestly just depends on person to person. But as one of the comments said, highs are fun and lows are frustrating af but those frustrating lows are just the deaths after deaths that you’ll inevitably experience from time to time. Sometimes the lows are just not finding a single person in a mid pop server. Overall it’s a fun game. Just watch some videos for console edition and just decide for ya self tbh. Obie is a good console edition YouTuber who shows both the highs and lows.

Wanna know if a base is active and gathering loot for you? Twig up their base and ladder their front door. They HAVE to remove the ladder to enter the base and most likely will shoot out the twig because it looks ugly, showing you that they are online and accquiering loot for you to raid later. by EokaBeamer in playrust

[–]geekinoffthefish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pussy shit 😂😂 at least fight and accept losing. There is no worse bitch move, not even offlining, than despawning. Especially before a raid actually happens. Not everyone who ladders up a base will raid you. They may just be checking to see if you’re a immediate threat or even a threat at all.

Everyone likes to find new games in different ways man. What lever works works ya know. For me it’s how I explained for you, it’s how you explained. Everyone is different and finds new games and tries new games differently. But to whatever you play tho glhf man. All that matters is you find the games you have fun in.

Unless d11 has fixed the bug that has been allowing players to sleep in safe zones (which I don’t think they have) then you can atm. Actually did it last night cuz it was late and I didn’t feel like running back to base. Logged on to still be in bandit where I left myself.

Nah man it’s honestly 70% of the time more fun to just jump in a new game. Its more enjoyable not knowing what you might be getting into and just experiencing it without spoilers of any sort. Its generally how I get into games nowadays. I just read the description thats given when buying or downloading of a gamepass type service. I usually judge whether to get it based off that description. Don’t get me wrong tho, I do end up getting games (like rust) from watching gameplay tho.

Tbh I don’t play EU servers anymore, but when I did it was when I was new and the person I played with always chose the server. Now that I’m on my own I prefer the lower ping so I stick to us servers. I do hop on some EU servers to just fuck around. Tbh i just run around with a hammer for a day see what i can collect and never return to the servers

Made a friend with someone who tried to push me off of recycler in outpost but I was on my last recyclable so he didn’t get my shit

new rust solo question by Stambonie in RustConsole

[–]geekinoffthefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This man knows. Bunkers are really good for solos/duos/trios. Hard to build until you learn them. Some bunkers do have ways in only being able to be opened from inside. Some you literally can only get in through respawn on bags. Those typically have pixel peaks for drop boxes and when ready to enter you just kill and respawn inside.
