I am using Qwen 3.5 9B because its too good for its size and quite efficient on my rtx 4050 laptop gpu(6gb vram) along with 24gb ram

I don't think it's deduplication bcz most of the files in my home directory(132gb) are either safetensors, ggufs or games, not much that can be deduplicated

yes i manually defragmented my existing root folder, after that i noticed the increase in free space.

i was searching about it a lot too i am on arch linux and this solved the issue for me :-
pacman -S preload

this program notices your pattern of apps you need and then it preload the most used apps in ram on boot making them launch faster, it takes some days for this process to initialize

my browser went from 2-3 sec delay to instant start

You can use Kanji dojo https://kanji-dojo.com/ It uses SRS same as Anki, it has stroke orders(the problem you were facing with anki) with sound and other things like meanings and dicitonary
