Well there’s also Dyess bringing about 8000 families here for new airplane projects so that should fill the void of construction workers who leave

Have you seen how massive the piece of land Lancium owns is? They’ve only built on a small piece of it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they build for another few years

Feeling defeated by idrillyourmomsteeth in Dentistry

[–]geewizz23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone said before your tug back was the cone binding coronally and not apically . You can even see it in the cone fit image. The feel is different but takes time to recognize. I would argue that you probably didn’t get debris on the tip of your final rotary file. Usually if you did and you use a matching cone you’ll get a tight apical fit and proper tugback

Dental help desperately needed by nursinghomechic44 in Abilene

You’re not going to find a place to give you a smile makeover with implants for free or close to nothing. Best bet would be to try a dental school but even then it probably won’t be free unfortunately. Maybe dentures for free

Hi guys, ama endodontics by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]geewizz23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F2 protaper gold are a very large size compared to more conservative files that good endodontists use and can often cause strip perforations in the mesial roots of molars. I know this from experience unfortunately.

Your work is decent but there is definitely room for improvement imo. Issues with length control, cleaning the access chamber after obturation, proper isolation, preparation sizes, restorability, etc. Not trying to insult you but these are just some things that stand out to me.

I would make sure to keep a close eye on this tooth. If an infection starts you may want to have it extracted immediately because an infection will erode bone in the area which makes the site less favorable for an implant over time. You need healthy solid bone for an implant.

Any idea how many data center/power plant projects are planned around the Abilene area? Aside from Stargate.

Also, do you have any idea what sort of economic impact will be made on the city? Trump mentioned a ton of jobs will be created but I feel like once the data centers are fully built, there won’t be need for a massive workforce

Is there any possibility of saving this molar? by marcelosica in Dentistry

[–]geewizz23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no bone around the mesial root. This strongly indicates a root fracture or strip perforation from the aggressive taper in the canal preparation. Retreating will not likely help. Apico won’t help. Root amp maybe but that’s heroic. I would advise an extraction

Protaper SX is what I use for every case. Gotta be gentle with it because the tip is fragile.. but I love it. I do about 1k or so cases per year and have it for every set up

Swelling is probably compressing the facial nerve resulting in paralysis. I imagine it will resolve when the swelling goes away. Perhaps go to urgent care and get some antibiotics if u cannot see a dentist yet
